As our second visit must speak for itself, we just love the set up. Only 15-20 mins from the Kruger park entrance. The local town offer all we need from fuel to food and take-a-ways too. The hosts and staff are so friendly offering to help if we need something extra, They also have pool and lovely reception area that doubles up as communal area come breakfast if you ask. We will be back.

With Olifants West Game Reserve reachable in 36 km, MILIMA Big 5 Safari Lodge provides accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. Milima lodge was an excellent choice. I will never forget the staff, specially our guide and the restaurant staff, for its great passion and constant capacity of making you feel special. The location also has to be mentioned. I remember sitting outside our tent in my pijama and just seeing passing almost all big 5. The food and every meal experience were just AMAZING!!

This place is a little gem. Perfect location, right next to incredible reserves in greater Kruger. One day we woke up to giraffes right at our doorstep. The owner is absolutely lovely, helpful and attentive to every detail. She helped us arrange all our outings, food orders and everything we asked. The food she made was the most delicious we had in South Africa, even compared to our 5 star JHB hotel. We are vegetarian and have some food allergies and she catered to every need. The room itself is gorgeous with one indoor and one outdoor shower, and one indoor and one outdoor bed to watch the milky way at night and hear the lions roar. Truly magical.

With garden views, Oase by 7 Star Lodges - Greater Kruger Private 530ha Reserve is located in Hoedspruit and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. The service was great, the staff made our stay very homely. The family suite was beautiful with the latest technology, beautiful furniture and nice features The chef catered for our needs over and above. The food was top class.

Featuring mountain views, Isambane Camp in Balule Game Reserve features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. Isambane was absolutely amazing! The whole experience was beyond words! The staff is extremely accommodating, and above all, just wonderful! The guides are on a whole new level out here, they are very knowledgeable about everything in the Bush! Also, this was my friend’s first time in South Africa and he said that we couldn’t have had a better experience than Isambane! We give it 100 stars! The food was also excellent and be sure to try the best mojito I’ve ever tasted! Also! The beds were super comfortable! I am definitely bringing my whole family to experience how truly incredible the camp and staff are!

Situated 7 km from Drakensig Golf Club, Ujabule Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. Beautiful accommodation and as a female solo traveller I felt extremely safe. The hosts were very welcoming and caring and the game drive offered was very informative. Great breakfast too! I can't wait to go back!!

Providing garden views, Tshukudiba Game Lodge in Tom Burke provides accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and barbecue facilities. The place was immaculate and well maintained. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. The shared kitchen is beautiful and well equipped. Whilst we only did a quick stop over before crossing border into Botswana the next morning, I could definitely do an extra night or two to explore the place more next time.

With garden views, Lira Boutique Lodge is located in Thohoyandou and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Everything, especially the part where I had breakfast with that amazing view The villa are amazing and I have learnt that they are not the same

Providing garden views, Leopard's Lair Bush Lodge in Hoedspruit provides accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and barbecue facilities. The room with the spa is by far the best and most outstanding. We were lucky enough to get it for one night in our stay and will certainly spring for it next time. The property manager was quick to help us with any issues or planning logistics. Staff, especially Amu were so sweet and nice to be around and helpful. It was a great place to stay and for great value. We would spend a week here if we could!

With bush views, The Wild Blue Lodge SAFARI & SPA is set in the Ndlovumzi Nature Reserve and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, outdoor pool, and terrace. This hotel is a sight to be seen. I felt like I was staying in a multi-thousand dollar-a-night hotel within the game reserve. The decorations, the size of the room, the bed, the cotton sheets, and the view of monkeys and other animals outside my sliding glass door. The amenities provided in the rooms made you never want to leave. I have had coffee in the morning on my private balcony in my bathrobe after my wonderful hot shower in the luxurious bathroom. At night we sat by the pool drinking wine after our dinner. This exceptional hotel is the best-valued hotel I have ever visited.
