a terrific walk from the city centre, lots to look at along the way or simply find a pretty café and "people watch". the gardens of the palace are open to the public. there is a small challenge to discover al the key statues in the gardens.

It was very interesting to see the palace also inside and hear about it's history and current situation. I enjoyed visiting a palace that is still in use (that's why you can visit only during few weeks in summer)

This was decent value for the location. The apartment is compact but well designed and we had everything we needed for a short stay, including being able to cook simple evening meals. The windows faced onto an inner courtyard so it was peaceful. We liked the location, across the road from the royal palace and well connected by tram, T-bahn and bus to other sites across the city.
Spacious apartment with "seasonal" free snacks and drinks. The combo laundry/dryer was more conventien than finding a laundromat. Great location in quiet Frogner and easy to reach with 2 tram lines, a quick walk from the royal palace.
The Hotel was very well located, there were restaurants in the adjacent road, and the Royal Palace was nearby. It was a pleasant walk to the park and the main Road: Kristian IV Gate. The Breakfast room was enormous, with many different sections, so there was a huge selection to choose from. The room itself had plenty of light, and there was a good atmosphere. The freshly made coffee from the machines was very good.
This hotel is in a great location across from the Royal Palace Park. It is considered a hostel but is a very nice, affordable hotel room. There is a coffee shop right downstairs.
The hotel is across from The Royal Palace park and next to Oslo Bikes, a bikeshare in Oslo. Biking around Oslo to move around worked well for me. The breakfast buffet is beautiful with lots of Norwegian foods to sample as well as breakfast staples like scrambled eggs.
The apartment is in a great location. Easy walking access to National Theatre train station, the Royal Palace and Karl Johan (main street). Also very close to "trikken" (the tram) and the road to Bygdoy. The apartment was a wonderful surprise with beautiful exposed brick, modern appliances and comfy rooms. The comment from all when we walked in was, "Wow! You did good!"
The hotel is perfectly situated in walking distance (around 15 minutes) to the major attractions such as Akershus Fortress, the Royal Palace, the Oslo National Museum and buses that can travel further to museums such as the Fram and Kon-Tiki. It is a 10 minute walk away from the train station. The staff were lovely and provided excellent recommendations for nearby food places.
Great location-A quiet &beautiful neighborhood with only around 15 mins walk from the Royal palace
Nice Decorations-large room with comfortable furnitures, makes me feel at home
Complete Facilities-with a fridge, a dish washer, a full set of tableware, an electric kettle...along with anything you’d expect in a ordinary hotel room
I mean it might be the best hotel of its price level across Oslo
Hotel is at the excellent location between the Royal Palace and Stortinget, the very center of Oslo. Everything of importance is in the short walking distance. Hotel is cozy, clean and staff is friendly. Breakfast is rich, variety of foods, something for everyone, not sure if Halal or Kosher is served (suppose that can be arranged). Room is clean, beds very good. Slept well...
Great location, in downtown Oslo, 5 minutes walking from the Royal Palace . Room was confy but the size reminds me of a former similar Hong Kong experience, I've felt as using a rail or ferry cabin, not a hotel room. Continental breakfast that not exceeds very specific expectations, but good overall.
We've used a local public parking facility nearby, at a daily cost of 380 NOK.
