The staff were amazing, particularly Octavian. We were on honeymoon and they went above and beyond to give us an enjoyable stay. The room was immaculate and the food was delicious. Couldn't fault it. Wish we lived closer to visit more often!

The staff was so nice. The room was perfect and the bathroom was large, clean, updated and nice! The breakfast was great! The staff held onto my luggage during the day after my checkout. Boasting a garden and a restaurant, Castle Inn is situated in Lydford. Guests can have a drink at the bar. All rooms in the inn are fitted with a flat-screen TV. We booked an overnight stay last minute. Excellent location to visit Lydford Gorge, also the old church and cemetary next door are worthwhile visiting. Very cozy room! We extremely enjoyed being offered fresh milk for the afternoon tea upon arrival and finding a milk bottle in front of our room the next the morning. This was unique for all the places we stayed at. The restaurant offers tables inside and outside, even though strongly recommended we had not reserved a table for dinner, but it was made possible for us to eat at the restaurant. Good quality food! Worth the price.

Small, but with a pub and restaurant with super food. Friendly, helpful staff, very comfortable and clean rooms, a full English breakfast and a delicious (and large!!) evening meal! We were so sad we were only there for one night!

The accomodation itself has everything on the doorstep. Restaurant, pubs, breakfast cafe and the shops in the main street.

The breakfast selection was unexpected; I had smoked salmon and superbly cooked scramble eggs. The lounge is very comfortable and the dining room is spacious. A guest information binder is very comprehensive including sightseeing opportunities with directions.
