Your own private attached guesthouse minutes from the Main Street in Springfield, close to bars, breweries and restaurants. The neighborhood is lively, especially during weekend nights. Stay with us at this lovely apartment in up and coming historic Springfield. It is a block from Main St filled with restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, bakeries, ice cream parlors, an arts supply store, and even an axe throwing venue! We do not provide a washer & dryer to our guests as there is a laundromat 1 min from the house, but we may consider allowing to use our washer & dryer if you’re booking a 30-days stay or longer. There is free off-street parking in front of the main house. We may give you access to our parking. Please ask in advance. The backyard is communal to our guest and ourselves. We live in the main house of your attached guesthouse and we would interact with you only if and when needed.

We’re a happy-go-lucky couple who loves travelling and hosting interesting people. Please acknowledge the following House Rules before booking our place: (1) Springfield can be noise, especially during weekend nights (2) the neighbourhood is close to downtown which is known to have several people experiencing homelessness (3) we do not provide a washer & dryer to our guests - there is a laundromat 2 min walk from the house. We may allow the use of our washer & dryer if you’re booking a 30-days stay or longer (4) smoking is strictly forbidden anywhere on the property, inside and out (including porch or front or back yard - there will a fine of a total of 3 nights (5) parking can be provided, please ask for it in advance (6) trash must be taken outside to the trash bin every Wed night with no exception (7) we are pet friendly hosts and we prefer a maximum of 1 pet (8) any stain or mess done by the pet, we will charge an additional cleaning fee (9) gathering or parties of any kind are strictly forbidden. If you host a gathering or event at this property we will levy a fine or fee of 5 nights (10) we are very cool hosts and we will try our best to accommodate your needs

This is a very exciting time to be in Springfield! We have several restaurants and breweries opening along Main Street and downtown. Springfield was called "the south's best come back neighborhood" by Southern Living a few years ago! One of our newest events is called Second Sundays in Klutho Park (just a few blocks away). The second Sunday of every month (April through October, 4pm-7pm) there is live music, food trucks and craft brews, produce market, local vendors, and fun & games for the whole family. It's free to the public. We also have PorchFest in November which brings many bands to perform on porches. It's one of our favorite days of the whole year. It is a very social neighborhood and you'd be hard pressed to go for a walk without having someone greet you from their porch. As with all urban neighborhoods, there is a fair amount of foot traffic so we encourage our guests to keep their valuables out of their vehicles. We are very passionate about this neighborhood, the growth, and the people who are working hard to preserve the history here.
