Set in Ángeles, 18 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Cabañas San Isidro offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and barbecue facilities. Great place for families with kids. We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

It was my first hostel in Costa Rica and I hope to find more places like this on my trip! Very nice reception, very nice common areas, lots of bathrooms and showers to use (which are new). When I arrived they explained me a map of the city and helped me to organize my activities to make the best use of my time. My favorites were the yoga area and the hostel pet!

Arenal Sloth Hostel is set in Fortuna, within 5 km of La Fortuna Waterfall and 5.4 km of Kalambu Hot Springs. I had a really nice stay, location was good as well. The owners very kind and helped me with all the information I needed.

Situated in Fortuna, 4.9 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Argdivan Hostel features accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The vibe of the hostel is amazing! It’s this cute blue hostel that has a BEAUTIFUL terrace (with a bar) that lights up at night. I spent my mornings eating breakfast and doing yoga (with the mats they provide) on the terrace. There’s so much space, lot’s of chairs to hang around with other guests, AND an amazing view. They have curtains on the beds!! This is so rare to find in hostels ESPECIALLY at this price. They have lockers IN the room. I love how EACH bed has its own personal fan and outlet. The curtains go all around the bed so it provides a LOT of privacy which is SO nice when staying in a dorm. The bathrooms are really nice and were always clean! Each room has its own bathroom + shower AND they have an extra bathroom with a shower that anyone can use (this was really great when someone was using the shower in the dorm). The kitchen is great; they have everything you need- even a blender! They also provide you with oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper, which I found really convenient and a nice touch. The wifi is great- there’s lots of areas to sit and work. They also have a common area where you can watch Netflix on the tv! The owners and staff are amazing. There are tons of tours to do and they organize it for you. It was a great way to see La Fortuna and meet other travelers, so I highly recommend going on the tours- the hot springs, Rio Celeste, Chocolate Tour, and Night Walk were my favourites. I would HIGHLY recommend this hostel to anyone staying in La Fortuna! The price is incredible for the quality of the hostel. I will definitely visit again :)

Located in Fortuna, 5.6 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Alpha Arenal provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The owner was marvelous. He gave lots of great recommendations for several activities and does not want to sell tours like lots of others. Just perfect!!! This made our trip perfect and I highly recommend the hostel for everyone who goes to La Fortuna. The rooms were clean and we had a nice balkony to sit outside. It is a great hostel to get to know others.
