It was the most beautiful place we stayed in during our trip through Tassie. The room was exceptionally beautiful, the whole house actually was. Gorgeous interior and extremely perfect location, just next to the penguine spotting point. We arrived late and had a super smooth checkin. Since the town stores were already closed it was even more pleasant to be able to choose from the amazing variety of local beverages that were setup in the room.

Lots of space in unit. washing machine & drier also. Nice clothes line under Verandah. Lot of books & dvds.

Sassafras Springs ligger på ett lugnt, 107 hektar stort område i Ellendale. Här erbjuds en uteservering med grillmöjligheter och en lekplats. Absolutely loved the quiet location, the surrounding wildlife, the walks from the base and the warm welcome from Grant. Also the cottage was incredibly well appointed and scrupulously clean Cannot praise it enough.

Guests at Explorers Lodge have access to a cosy guest lounge with fireplace, a sun room, sun deck and landscaped gardens to explore. Free WiFi is provided. The host Michael & Roberto are wonderful. Very communicative and willing to go that extra mile to make your stay pleasurable and "like home". I was so impressed I extended my stay for another 5 nights rather than relo to Hobart as I had originally planned. Don't skip the homemade hot breakfast (eggs are straight from the hens in the garden out back and they are wonderful...so different from store bought US grocery eggs) and there is a Continental option as well. Very clean, very comfortable beds and luxury bedding. Overall an excellent choice for a stay that will not dissapoint,
