Hotel Madeira is a 3-star hotel in Funchal's city centre, close to shops and restaurants. It offers free WiFi access. Each room has a private bathroom with walk-in shower and hairdryer. We came for just a few days to celebrate a birthday and enjoy the local nature. Very friendly and helpful staff gave us a nice surprise! Breakfast is not very varied, but we liked it. There is a small swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, which we used once. The roof offers a beautiful view of the city and the sunrise. As for the room, we liked the good soundproofing and water pressure:) Everything was very nice.

Hotel Catedral offers elegantly decorated rooms in Funchal’s city centre. It features panoramic views of the area. It also offers free WiFi, as well as free parking. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a really good room. It was clean and quiet.
