It really felt like a home away from home. It was beautiful looking out at the birds and the bees even though it was an urban area. I felt one with nature. I could see all this, and the local shops which were so close. Looking out atop the spacious balconies which allowed us to look out upon the beautiful city. I would love to stay here anytime I am visiting Verona.

The apartment was a pleasant 20-30 minute walk from the Arena and the old town. There was free parking on the residential roads nearby.

Perfection in all aspects, lucky enough to get that place and especially the hosts who are ready to help you anytime. I was there twice and will again.

A 15-minute walk to the Arena of Verona, Il Relais dell’Abbazia offers spacious, country-style rooms set in a former Benedectine complex. It features a furnished garden, and free Wi-Fi. Everything -- the rooms are beautiful and well-appointed, spacious and very comfortable. Everything is spotlessly clean and the owner, Francoise, is welcoming and personable. There is a lounge for guests with free coffee, water, tea, and beer, which is a very thoughtful touch. It may look a tad out of the main tourist drag on a map, but trust me, it is a very easy walk to the center and all the main tourist sites -- about 10 minutes to the heart of the old city -- and there are plenty of good restaurants and cafes just around the corner. The Abbey's biggest plus for me is that it is in such a quiet location, away from the tourist madness around Juliet's purported house, but close enough for an easy stroll to see everything. I would not stay anywhere else in Verona!

This is a true family business, like my husband and I grew up in. They are all so dedicated and care so much that guests have a great experience. The breakfast was tremendous, the pool exceptional, and we loved it all.
