Hotel Grenzfall lies in the central Mitte district of Berlin, steps from the Berlin Wall documentation center. It offers modern rooms and a restaurant with a bar and terrace. The breakfast was excellent and had a large variety. The rooms are huge. Try to get a room with a balcony if you like balconies and nice garden views. The staff is kind and happy to talk or help. The rooms were very clean and the general vibe of the hotel is really simple but in a charming way—the orange colored floors and the dining room maintain a charming fresh decor from another decade and the location is directly next to a Main Street, but also a quiet and calm street. It’s both quiet and centrally located, right next to the tram. The beds aren’t particularly comfortable but the mattresses are supportive—your back will not hurt (in fact, the firm mattress helped my neck pain from the long flight to Germany. You should stay here if you like the area! It’s really a good place.
