The family-run 3-star Hotel Plainbrücke is located 2.5 km from the centre of Salzburg. Free WiFi and free private parking are available. Nice little place! Tiny hotel that looks like it was a secondary railway station at some point - the tracks are very, very close behind it and there's a train stop there, too. Despite that, I could never hear the trains go by. The room was spacious, with a nice sink and a shower. Small but functional TV, with HDMI and analog inputs. Analog cable was provided. The toilet was on the ground floor, but it was always empty when I went there. There is a snacks/drinks machine on the stairs, with reasonable prices. The cleaning staff let me sleep!! They didn't even knock on the door when I put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. Decent breakfast, warm room.
