Everything is in walking distance - a great market for groceries, lots of restaurants, and several boat charter companies. We didn't rent a car, and I'm so glad we didn't, taxis are great for venturing out.
Walk to the Point by Simpson Bay Resort ( practically next door) and enjoy the sunset and a cocktail - its so beautiful.
The bonfire at Buccaneer Bar ( also next door) on weekends is so much fun- and they have good food and drinks at reasonable prices.

Is a lovely bay with a long white sandy beach, the water is turquoise, but due to the sand being very thin the water is quite milky, resulting in poor visibility under water, still super enjoyable if you want to relax and read by the sea.

We had booked an ocean-view room and were given one... but it was on the lowest level and we mostly saw lawn and trees rather than ocean. Thankfully they moved us to a higher floor and that made a huge difference in our stay. The hotel location is great with free parking. It has everything you need at a resort - good restaurants, a spa, activities onsite and more. We had a rental car that was perfect to sightsee for three days around the island. There is no lack of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and spas anywhere on this island! Note that on Sundays a lot of stores are closed if you stay over a weekend.

Best area to stay when visiting SXM, honesty the night life, food , people its just the perfect location to be in! Day or night Simpson Bay is really just amazing. Close to Beach areas as well , safe to walk to and from any hotel.
Terrible. I paid over €400 for our stay and they put me in a room that over looked the parking. There were no European plugs available (St Maarten is FRENCH and DUTCH), the restaurant forgot my breakfast (had to keep asking, took over an 1:30), then my late check out was canceled and they offered me no alternative for showering before a LONG haul flight back to South Africa.
The island vibe was great. The property is right on a sand beach with lovely views of the Simpson Bay area. The open-air restaurant and bar were great, and the food was excellent. Staff were helpful and the property was lush with greenery and a welcoming atmosphere. They have resident dogs, cats, fish, and “watch” turtles. Our unit was quaint.
A quiet residential location. A park like athmosphere in the location. The location is still quite near the busy Simpson Bay area with ATMs, bars and restaurants. And not far from the airport. Burger King and a huge supermarket next to it are nearby. There is also a smaller supermarket nearer.
The staff were just beyond incredible. Walking in you feel such a warm greeting and just amazinging welcomed. The hotel is right in the middle of everything for Simpson Bay (food, drinks, excursions) so it've very easy to get around and get food.
I loved the fantastic view of the sea and the view of the planes. And also iguanas in the hotel garden.
The services of the hotel and its staff were perfect. They willingly helped and advised with everything.
We felt very safe in the hotel.
Great location and well-run guesthouse! Super friendly and helpful owners, friendly guests. Easy to walk to restaurants on Simpson Bay and good location from which to explore the island. Lovely beach for walking and swimming!
The big space is good but to a big family , but I am not looking for big space , I was looks for hotel on front the beach and big bedroom and not a big apartament with kitchen .
We love the Simpson Bay area. Lots of restaurants nearby within walking distance. Ample parking if you have a car. Rooms were clean, comfortable & spacious. The staff is great!
We love the privacy, really quiet. It's at the top of the hill giving access to Ocean view and the opposite side the view of Simpson bay very pretty in the night.
The hotel location was in the center of everything. I booked an ocean view room. I loved the view of the pool with the ocean. I will definitely return again
It was very clean & all the staff was nice, Special thanks to Bell Man MaX and Front Desk Agent Raie, I will definitely be back soon, The hotel is top-tier
