Resort is located an easy walk to town—it’s really about 10 minutes—you’d have to be walking at an extremely slow pace to make it take longer (some reviews have said 20 minutes plus? No idea how unless you are talking to the opposite edge of town). You can also easily walk through the center of the resort to get to a strip of cheaper restaurants and shops, including a much bigger supermarket, away from the more expensive tourist locations. Breakfast is good with lots of options. We also had dinner at the pool bar one night when we got back late—food was tasty and prices were reasonable. Concierge was very helpful in setting up excursions, which were totally worth it—we did the catamaran tour (day) and the all day bus excursion. We were also upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival.
Located at the central square of Fira, Santorini Main Square is just 100 metres from the Archaeological Museum of Thira and just steps from bars and shops.

Fits is my preferred choice compared to OIa to stay as the latter is super crowded with tourist. You can take the local bus to visit all the sites including Oia, Akrotini, Megalochori ( cave house ) and other places of interest. Just euros 2 each way. For food , I strongly recommend the lobster pasta in Nina Restaurant ( hope I got the name right). It is just on your right when taking the steps up to the centre.

Santorini lives up to the hype.
Santorini lives up to the hype. No other place like it in the world. Fira is a fun town—great people watching. Watching the sunset is an event. Yes it gets crowded, but still navigable (granted we visited in May and not July). You can find good restaurants at somewhat reasonable prices. Large supermarket on south side of town. Must do the Fira to Oia hike—we actually took the bus to Oia and hiked back.

Busy with a lot of traffic and poor sidewalks. Good food choices. Limited grocery choices. Our choice of the Thea "Luxury" Resort was a poor one. No amenities and hostile owner when questioned about the published amenities. Great place for a sailing adventure. probable hellish in summer. The Chinese Rest. was good.

We stayed in Fira as a central point to visit the rest of Santorini. The bus hub was in Fira and was a cost effective way to get around. (it is 2 euros each time you board, no transfers). Their KTel city buses are actually coach buses and travel to all points on the island. Fira is a safe, clean and busy place to visit. We really enjoyed Kamari beach which is a 20 minute bus ride away.

I wasn't certain which area of the island would be the best place to stay, but after considerable research, I settled on Fira because it offered more diversity with its amazing cliff views, sunsets, shops, restaurants, and bars. The location was great for easy access to other regions too such as the wineries. Absolutely loved the wine tasting experience at Venetsanos winery. The view from the cliff edge was spectacular and their wines were out of this world.

Beautiful vistas and elevated over Caldera with stunning sunsets and great views. Avoid the town during the day from 11.00am to 5.00pm to miss the crowds due to the cruise ships swamping the place.
I hired a scooter for two days at 40 euros but don't settle for first offer shop around as it made a 30 euro saving and haggle a bit to get a deal.
Our first experience in Greece, starting with a stay at the Limestone Hotel in Santorini, was nothing short of marvelous. The hotel's staff, brimming with hospitality and kindness, made us feel at home immediately. A special shout-out to the manager, Thrasos, whose exceptional service and local insights significantly enhanced our stay. The blend of traditional Greek charm and impeccable service at Limestone has set a new standard for our travels. We left with hearts full of fond memories, eagerly anticipating our next visit.
The staff were really helpful, checked me in as early as possible, gave me recommendations and organised my airport transfer. The hotel itself was beautiful (the classic white buildings of Santorini decor) with an amazing location, the pool had a gorgeous view. The room was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was clean and nicely designed. I had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay right in the heart of Fira with the main square less than 10 minutes down the road
The hotel is perfect for a stay in Santorini. All
of the staff are extremely friendly and Will go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful holiday. The breakfast was superb with lots to chose from and with as much as you would like, which is ordered the evening before, so was made fresh everyday.
Aliter suites is very relaxing once you come away from the busy areas of Fira and Oia, due to how busy they are. Will be back to Aliter Suites for sure.
Thank You.
After arriving late to Santorini, Giannis and the rest of the Hotel staff made us feel welcome and we lost any travelers anxiety we might have had.
Staff were friendly, helpful and informative! It is a good spot from which to explore Fira.
Special thanks to the technician for fixing my bag so I could continue the journey with ease.
The breakfast was well organised and tasty.
Fira is a bustling place to stay but a must for a day or two while in Santorini.
The property is beautifully nestled into the cliff side in Firostefani, a small suburb of Fira. The hotel amenities were all beautiful and our room was truly incredible. All of the staff made sure to feel that we were provided with 5 star accommodations and they did. The food and drinks from the bar/restaurant were fantastic and all are very carefully thought out by the team. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a hotel in Santorini.
Irene, the host was a very lovely and nice lady. She well explained the attractions and bus routes of Santorini which was very useful for tourists. The rooms are very spacious, clean, well-equipped and tidy. Loved the smell of the hotel whenever I came back. Even though the location is not the centre of Fira, a few mins walk was fine and there were a few good restaurants along the way. Overall, I had a pleasant and nice stay in Santorini with Ilois.
San Giorgio is in a perfect location to explore Fira + Santorini. It's a short walk to many restaurants and view points and very close to the bus stop from which you can go visit the rest of the island. The room is perfect and cozy - had everything we needed. The hotel staff had great suggestions for places to eat and visit and we enjoyed their recommendations. They picked us up from the airport for free, which we really appreciated.
We stayed in Santorini for 4 nights. We moved a lot. We went to Oia, Kamari, Blychada, Fira, Imerovigli. The location of the hotel was perfect. 100 m from the Bus station.
The staff is very friendly! Alexandro speaks fluent English and Spanish.
The breakfast was nice.
Accommodations were always clean.
The swimming pool is beautiful! I really recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santorini, who wants to move around.
Everything about this hotel was excellent! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was very down to earth, the rooms were spacious- the beds were comfortable & the breakfast was very lovely! The location was ideal- about 10 minutes away from Fira. When we return to Santorini, we will return to this hotel as it was very nice compared to others we stayed at on the island.
We LOVED the hotel, mainly for their unbelievalbly hospitable staff. The pool was nice, and the breakfast was very good. The rooms, for a beach hotel, were excellent. Not luxury but really nice. And the hotel is a short walk to Fira, in the centre of Santorini (Thira). The staff, I can't sing their praise enough. Truly exceptional and especially Elpida. Just the best!
We chise this hote for our last night in Santorini before flying back home and were therefore looking at something close to the airport. Wonderful pool area, excellent restaurant, very comfortable bed. Good hotel for young party people but as a couple I would choose rather a bigger room or a hotel outside of Fira.
Staff was kind, welcoming and helpful.
It was a quintessential Santorini cliff side hotel.
the pool was nice, and the breakfasts were good.
unfortunately it’s set in such a way that you don’t have a view of other Santorini properties or of Oia. You can see into the Caldera and have a good view of the sunsets. You’re right on the edge of Fira so your close to restaurants and shopping.
Nice hotel in center of Fira. Everything was close which was extremely convenient. Friendly and very helpful staff helped us book transfer from airport upon our arrival as well as a day trip and breakfast provided was always served with smile. If we ever come back to Santorini, Asimina Hotel would be our first choice.
Ifestos Villa, was the perfect location to us very near everything just a short walk into Fira, it was lovely and clean and the staff were all fantastic a family run hotel, perfect would go back in a heartbeat. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone going to Santorini. Also the food and cocktails were spot on.
Amazing location and the best part is that you don’t need to carry your luggage is up and down stairs through long winding roads because this is the first hotel as you enter in the view is exceptional and very practical location and the best part of Santorini
Most co-operative staff I ever seen, they give me check in 8 hours before check in time.
Best hotel, best location, neat & clean, free coffee/tea any time, if anybody is in Santorini/fira....this is best place to stay, all credit goes to there staff.
Excellent location close to bus station. Housekeeping kept our room clean and tidy everyday. Good selection of breakfast items. Well run family owned hotel. Alex very helpful and provided plenty of information about Fira and Santorini.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Nuce breakfast. Luca, at the front desk was very kind and healpful providing plenty of data to visit the island. It's five minutes away walk from Fira. We had great time in Santorini and the hotel.
Comfortable and simple room for a 1 night stay in Santorini. Located centrally in Fira and had everything we needed. Breakfast was served with a smile and although basic was still good.
The property was clean and fair. Moreover they provide a shuttle from the hotel to the Fira center. So it was so good and convenient to travel anywhere in Santorini.
