Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa, hotel in Griffithstown

In 50 acres of stunning grounds, this beautiful manor house combines charming original features and period detail with contemporary comforts and superb relaxation and spa facilities.

Absolutely lovely staff in all areas of the hotel and spa. Some of the facilities are in need of renovation/refresh (eg. shower curtains, walls) but given the price point, this is 10/10. The breakfast was a buffet with nice options and fresh fruit. I heard another guest asking for different eggs and the staff were happy to make them specially for him. The grounds are really pretty, the beds comfy and it was lovely and quiet in our room 41. The swimming pool area was done in Grecian style which was really atmospheric and the jacuzzi was very warm and bubbly, just what you want! Lots of parking too.

The Newbridge Hotel, hotel in Griffithstown

Located 18 miles from Cardiff University, The Newbridge Hotel offers 3-star accommodations in Newbridge and has a garden, a shared lounge and a bar.

Clean room. Comfortable king size bed. My room was on the top floor with only one window, but there was a fan in the room which helped keep it comfortably cool. Noise wasn't an issue as I stayed on a Monday night. Pub was downstairs and had its usual assortment of characters. No food service in the hotel, but there's a great fish and chips place just down High Street and you can eat it in the pub.
