Very decent place for an overnight stay before boarding the ferry in Calais the next morning. Located in attractive small town. Would definitely do this again. Plus they have a good size family room, at affordable price. Not sure however whether I would want to stay here longer than one night.

The hotel "Face à la Mer", is at Petit Pont Philippe on the sea, with its historical black and white candy striped lighthouse. It is connected by a long canal (25 min walk) to the ancient town of Gravelines. You can walk around the perimeter and see the old walls and there is an arsenal and museum, plus a sculpture garden. I ate in the hotel each night (4) for convenience, after that there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. Not Michelin starred but good food, especially the ice-cream desserts. Usual shops close by, boulangerie, pharmacy etc. Petrol 10 mins in either direction

We went for the Christmas market.
We went for the Christmas market. Friday evening was disappointing but the Saturday night was great with lots of atmosphere. We didn't really look at the shops or bars when we were there. The town itself is fascinating as it is walled and has bags of history. There is also plenty of free parking. We would consider returning there to look at the museum and other interests there.... however, it will be in the warmth of summer!

We used it as a stop off for the Tunnel.
We used it as a stop off for the Tunnel. It's about 30 mins from the terminal. There seem to be some nice restaurants about and the beach is magnificent. What it would be like in the rain and cold I don't know but I would stop off there again
We drove to Dunkirk from Germany, to catch a ferry the next day to the UK. The hotel has an on-site restaurant and they also provided breakfast. This was a perfect location to get to the ferry and right on the beach for a lovely walk. The room, was a little small, but it had 3 beds and we just needed a place to lay out heads until the next day. I also liked that they have free onsite parking. I would definitely stay again for our next road trip across the pond.
Room was I excepted and was confortable. The bed was very nice. The shower was very good and also bathtub. The Hotel was in front of the sea, but need to walk 1km to see water. It was very nice to go for walk!
I stayed in the hotel with my partner and our dog. There are some green spaces close to the hotel which is great for a dog walk. Breakfast was ok for the price. Room was good value for money.
food was amazing -we had lunch before we departed which was delicious. the hotel was basic, but clean and practical for a short stay. staff were very friendly and helpful
Great location and close to the centre and local market. I've seen Gravelines on the map and signposts this was my.first visit and what a lovely surprise
