This is a beautiful historic hotel in a wonderful central location in the old part of the city of Tui. The room was lovely, very comfortable bed and the bathroom was large and with all facilities. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very kind and delightful and helped us to arrange our onward Camino journey. The hotel is both charming and excellent value for money.

Tui was gorgeous, wish I could have stayed longer than one quick night but was meeting up with friends on the Camino and had to move on. So many good restaurants as well and the river walk is lovely! If you're on the Camino, stop at Albergue Ideas Peregrinas for their breakfast. It's a full-service cafe with strong coffee and American breakfasts with the nicest toasted baguettes. They have a store as well attached with Camino provisions - ponchos, poles with rubber tips, hats, shorts, wool socks, all high quality.

Very historic old town.
Very historic old town. It used to be the capital of Galicia. Beautiful cathedral. Location next to Mindo river makes it very special as well. Strolling along the river, with Tui lingering above was a delight.

Tui was bigger than I expected.
Tui was bigger than I expected. It is a very interesting town close to the Portuguese border and has many historical buildings. There are lots of bars to choose from - El Pilar being our favourite. The old cathedral is worth a visit to view the architecture and there are some lovely walks along the riverside.

Restaurant/cafes near Albergue Pallanes were not open for food in the evening when local referrals were given but a nearby supermarket was well stocked. The kitchen at the Albergue provided all that was required for meal preparation. Only stayed one night. At the end of a days travel/walking Tui restaurants were a step too far away.

Tui is a great historical location, with enough modern conveniences for most. It is a great centre for touring and is located close to the border with Portugal It is also conveniently located, for walkers, on The Camino Portugues.
Our stay at Casa de Barca was amazing! We were walking the Camino and it is right on the path. Juana is the best host ever! She even picked us up at the bus station. She has thought of everything you might need. It was our first stop and the only negative was that she set the bar too high and the subsequent stops just didn't quite compare. Wish we could have stayed longer! She also showed us how to walk to Valenca (a beautiful walk!) which we would have missed and it was a highlight. Don't hesitate to stay here!!
Loved this self contained apartment in the suburbs of Tui. About 1.5km out of the city so wouldn’t suit anyone wanting to be central but perfect for us.
Very well presented and spotlessly clean. Our host had stocked the fridge and cupboards with a great selection of food for our breakfasts and had even gone to the trouble of sourcing decaffeinated coffee for us. She had also left us beer and soft drinks in the fridge.
Great location as you come off the bridge from Valenca. Beautiful building with old world charm in lobby and upstairs rooms. Friends downstairs had more modern looking rooms. Rate a bit less in value as we had to walk a 1/4 mile to get dinner. We are on the Camino and that’s a bit far when tired. Their restaurant opens at 8:30pm. Yes, we know Spain has late dinner, but 8pm seems more reasonable.
I was arriving late and other hostels wouldn't accept me, but they kindly communicated how I could enter and helped me arrange a taxi from train station. The place is clean, nicely styled, good bathrooms and comfortable mattress. Also, I love Tui. I had stopped on my Camino and decided to pass through again on my way home.
What a marvelous place! We were greeted with beer and Coke in the fridge, plenty of yogurt, bread with cheese and ham, and coffee! Comfortable bed, good sitting area, and nice bathroom. A wonderful deal for the price.
Its a simple hotel, good to stay if you are in a rush. But it was somehow very noisy when we slept there.
The breakfast is good for the price, not a luxury one, but you get to eat well anyway.
A little gem of a place outside the city of Tui. I was walking the Camino so it was present (right on the path) and nice and quiet
Super clean. Excellent host and a great night sleep 🥾
Jesús was so friendly and helpful. He made us feel welcome straight away. big spacious property with everything you need in the heart of Tui’s historic centre. excellent value for money.
Excellent private albergue in Tui. Quiet, very clean, very responsive to all of my needs. Highly recommend, if you are doing the Camino Portugués or just visiting Tui
