Beautiful view from our balcony of the lake, mountains and the village. There is a nice walking trail right along the lake for exploring from the hotel. The room was cozy and the bathroom shower adequate. The terrace restaurant had excellent fresh caught Perch! Absolutely delicious. We drove the Lauterbrunnen Valley from here and hiked and explored the Valley. Seen 6 major waterfalls,plus Trummelbach Falls. Then took the gondola up to Murren for lunch at Hotel Edelweiss for the most incrediable views and cheese fondue.

Location is top-notch. The beds were surprisingly comfy and warm, and it doesn't feel overly cluttered with furniture. Nothing really beats the location for the view, and it's relatively convenient/cheap for its proximity to Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen.

We liked the friendliness of the hosts, the bathroom, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and rural atmosphere. We ate at several of the nearby restaurants with lakeside dining. We did not have a car but it was easy to get to the location by bus #60 from the Spiez train station. Very pretty place but not much to do apart from a few restaurants and a Church. Good if you want somewhere slightly out of nearby Spiez, which is easily accessible or as an effective overnight stop when hiking. Probably not so much to recommend it as a destination per se.John Ewart

The location of the hotel is good, it is close to the bus top and form there you can go to Spiez and Interlaken. However, the bus doesn't pass in a good frequency. The hotel is good, the breakfast is very Swiss, but with everything fresh.
