This hotel had a good size room with nice bathroom & shower. You could also get free public transport from hotel to train station while staying there which helped.

They kindly found the teddy bear my daughter forgot in the room and sent me by post. It was very appreciated.

Fantastic village to take Bernina Express.
Fantastic village to take Bernina Express. However, if yo wish to take Bernina, then dont rent a car rather buy Swiss rail passes which seem expensive but then all transport is free and you get 50% off on Bernina express, Glacier express, and all private rides like Titlis Air and others. So this is well worth a spend.

We only stayed 1 night in Chur and were thus unable to fully explore the town itself and the surrounding area. There is a good range of shops, historic buildings and churches (especially the cathedral) which are worth visiting. It's not a large town but there are several attractive squares to wander around and, like most places in Switzerland, extremely clean and tidy. We ate at a very good restaurant/bar called Calanda - great service/atmosphere/food and drink choices.

The cable car was fantastic, would have stayed another day just to take full advantage of this… However it’s very expensive in Chur… eating out was prohibitive for us due to how much it would have cost, we could stay in a good apartment in Bolzano Italy for one night for the same cost as a meal for two.. even buying food from the supermarket is expensive… btw Bolzano is a fantastic place to visit ..

We loved Chur. Beautiful , historic old town in the centre.
We loved Chur. Beautiful , historic old town in the centre. It seemed like a town where regular working folk lived rather than being very touristy although there were tourists. Interesting Viamal Gorge and walk accessibly easily by train and bus . As it was raining we didn’t go on the walk just the short walkway by the cafe .
Chur is a very small place in Switzerland and the reason why we wanted to stay here was the next day we wanted to take the Glacier Express Train and for that we wanted to go to St. Mortiz. Having being said that this place is a neat and tidy one covered by snow mountains from all sides and within reach of the Train Station in 7 mins of walk. I would suggest you to select this place as the host is a very kind person and helpful one. Thanks to host for making this a memorable one for us. Please consider this place.
This hotel was a great stop off to get the Bernina Express, although nothing in Switzerland comes cheap. It is close to the train station and to the center of town as well (which was very quiet in October). We had a room for three which was a bit cramped for floor space but the private sink was a welcome addition to the shared toilet/shower. Those shared facilities were all were surprisingly nice and never busy.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very nice. We found the beds comfy too.
We liked everything. Atmosphere was very friendly, kitchen was clean and spacious with all you need. Location is very near train station and all the main attractions, but still peaceful. Inner yard is very social with restaurant/bar, , still good with children to be with. During our stay we listened live music and saw amazing fire circus show at the yard. So good place and lovely, helpful staff. Special thanks to Marco!
As my daughter said: I don't want to leave Switzerland because this hotel is so nice!
Great location on the edge of the pedestrianised town centre and within a stone’s throw of the station, so perfect for those touring Switzerland by rail, like us, but seemingly with plenty of parking available for anyone with a car.
Comfortable bed and different pillow types are available if booked in advance with the hotel direct.
Excellent lighting (at least in Room 506 - a superior twin).
Quality breakfast with plenty of choice.
Helpful reception staff.
The location of this stay was absolutely wonderful! Easy to access apartment located amongst the beautiful walking streets of Chur. Having four separate beds across two bedrooms and a sofa bed meant that my parents and my sister could get a reasonable degree of privacy during our stay. It was also surprisingly quiet after a certain period at night. Universal charging strip in the living room!
The hotel is located about 20 minutes walk from the railway station, in the old part of the town. It is in a very old building, with many original features, especially in the dining/breakfast room. It is, however, a fairly basic hotel in terms of the room but very much typical of hotels in this price range all across Switzerland. This hotel is fine for a 1 night stay
Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was a good spread. Had dinner in the restaurant twice and the meals were good. The hotel is situated on the edge of the old town so very convenient to explore. Chur itself is a good base for exploring the very scenic areas leading to the likes of Tirano, Arosa, St.Moritz etc using the local rail network.
Great restaurant downstairs, and we got 10% off for staying in the hotel. Big room and nice views. Comfortable beds. Easy walk to the train station. It is right in the beautiful Old Town. There was construction going on on our floor, so that is the only reason it didn't get a 10. Hopefully, that will be done soon.
We were taking the Bernini Express train in the morning and booked the hotel because it was across the street from the train station. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was much nicer than we expected. The hotel was clean, modern, and the room we had was very spacious.
A well-run hotel in a nice quiet location about 10 minutes walk south from the train station. We had a lovely double room with a view of the nearby St. Martin's Church. The hotel breakfast was fabulous and we found a nearby restaurant for a good evening meal.
My fixed spot when visiting northern Grissons. clean and tidy rooms, friendly staff, underground garage. Hotel is located 50m from gas stations, supermarkets and McDonalds too :) 15 minutes by car from Arosa/Lenzerheide and Laax ski areas. Big up Ibis Chur
Staff very extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was positioned perfectly for exploring Chur old town and just 10 mins from main station. The buffet breakfast facilities and food was great. We didn't try it, but the in-house bar looked very cosy.
It was close to a great part of Chur, very cute area. There's lots of facilities at the hotel including a shared kitchen, coworking space and community room. The beds were comfy and I could see mountains from the window. Staff was very friendly.
Good hotel. Friendly staff, clean room. Central located in Chur, 10 minute walk from the railway station and situated at the start of the old city (Altstadt). Wifi was good, beds were perfect.
A really nice and historic hotel located in the old town of Chur. Big choice of breakfast options, super friendly staff and a clean room with a view on the mountains.
The breakfast was very good. The hotel had a very cozy and charming dining area. The restaurant was always busy so the food is good! Comfortable bed and clean rooms.
