Our planned arrival time changed several times, including on the day of arrival. David was really very responsive and, well, forgiving. The location is especially good for anyone who wants a place near the airport for a next-day departure, while MUCH nicer and quieter than a typical airport hotel.
Honeybee House is located less than 10 minutes' drive from the center of Kuranda Village. Guests enjoy free WiFi. The house is set on 5 acres of tropical gardens and rainforest.

Lives up to its name - a real retreat! There’s a TV in every bedroom (and there are 3!) plus the one in the living room! Netflix, prime - you name it, it is included! Plenty of room for the 6 of us with 2 bathrooms too. It has a very equipped kitchen, plus a BBQ if you want (we didn’t use the BBQ) and you can even do your laundry (it has a laundry and dryer!). There is a pool and Ian provides complimentary treats so honestly you don’t have to leave the premises and it is your own oasis.
Location wise if you do step out, it is a short drive to Cairns city and the airport. Parking is included behind a secure electronic gate.
Communication was easy and replies were prompt. Nothing was too much trouble. The service is impeccable. I accidentally left my cardigan at the property and Ian was kind enough to post it back to me.
