The location is excellent, on top of the mountain with fantastic views from the balcony. It is quiet and peaceful, which is rather rare for the region. The family running it is very kind and supportive , the atmosphere in the house is warm and friendly . Our room was nice and spacious, with comfortable bed with the view. The bathroom had a window. Everything we needed was in the room and if we needed glasses or plates there was plenty available in the dining area downstairs. The room was cleaned every day. You can sit in the garden as well to enjoy the air and the views. We enjoyed our stay here very much!

Beautiful surroundings in a cliffside town above the mediterranian. Brick-houses with orange tile roofs clutching the jagged terrain, and the monte tre calli and the astronomical observatory as its most prominent features. A picturesque view of agerola municipality while eating breakfast in the cool morning air was especially memorable. The staff is lovely and the food was great, mostly home made and not too costly. I would reccomend the house-wine for drinks and a tiramisu with a glass of grappa for dessert. The garden is beautiful and well kept. They have some chickens, geese and a couple of pigs in a pen to the side of the garden. The peacock Nancy (a male) prances around freely in the garden, he is very cool.

The staff and owners of Il Frescalle are amazing! They made us feel like part of the family and catered to everything we needed We had a very long travel day and didn't arrive at the property until almost midnight, yet the team still ensure we had a full dinner before settling in for the night. We would love to return!

Set along the Amalfi Coast, Villa Santa Maria offers a free private seaside deck equipped with sun loungers and deck chairs, terraced gardens and spacious rooms with spectacular sea views. Amazing views, incredible patio, fantastic staff. Francesca made our stay unforgettable - she is a true jewel. Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The location is great just outside Amalfi, making it a lot quieter and the view is incredible. There is a bus stop just outside in the street, but it gets busy from Amalfi station at Easter (when we were there.) As a backup, one can walk to Amalfi (25 mins, scenic) or take a taxi (EUR 35, taxis are very expensive in Amalfi!) In my opinion, the location is a plus rather than a negative though! If you'd rather not go out at night, they even prepared us supper at the villa! Some reviewers lamented the stairs, but if it helps, they do have a porter to help with luggage. Anywhere pretty in Amalfi is going to involve stairs! Our stay was amazing, can highly recommend it!

The location is perfect to experience the area and avoid the tourist trap situation. The host was great and the facilities were excellent. The kitchen was well furnished and everything was spotless.

Rita's place is perfect! Comfortable, clean and spacious, it has everything you need. But Rita is the best! Thank you for everything!
