It’s location is insane. You’re on the edge of a jungle, with wildlife teaming around you, it is incredibly beautiful. There are wonderful sounds of birds and bugs all day and night, magnificent stars, and such a peaceful energy. Dominic, the person running the show, is truly one of kindest and most thoughtful people I have ever met. And the breakfast served by fellow staff was amazing! The people alone were definite highlights!

The villa is located about a 10 min drive from San Ignacio. It’s quite hard to find, but you can ask anyone in town, they will know the host Larry. You definitely need a car. It’s a very nice little place in a beautiful setting surrounded with palm trees. It’s extremely quiet and that gives a nice break from San Ignacio. The beds are big and very comfy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our family of 4 even without a living room. Larry can give you good advices about the activites in the area.

Hummingbirds on your patio are a great way to wake up and go to sleep. The locations close to town but not too close. We had a rental car and felt the vehicle was safe from both other traffic and people. There are multiple places for food or if you want to cook the cabins have a full cooking setup. Excellent! Also check out the grounds and admire all the hard work put into creating this hummingbird haven.

The hospitality and food were great. Everyone was very friendly and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. This place is immaculately clean. The location is quiet, serene, and beautiful . The building itself was gorgeous with strong wood accent and dark mahogany colors. I loved all the verandas and balconies. You could close your room up or make it a lovely indoor outdoor space. Kids 9 and 12 loved it too. I would definitely come back.

Hummingbird was exactly as advertised. Peter and Jenny were super helpful . They arranged a tour to Caracol(loved Leo our guide) and and also helped us get to our next destination. Highly recommend. Oh, also easy walk to town from there.
