We came upon a great little place to eat mammas kitchen. Great food. The OYO hotel was disgusting, we checked in went to room and we went back to office and left. Another thing that happens.
Another thing that happens. At breakfast I stopped at the front desk to ask that they make up my room. Don’t they have a tag to put on our door for housekeeping not to make up our room. We want no one in our room. I was assured it will be entered on the computer, no door tag needed. Not only was our room entered, our bed was made, got new towels, and my pajamas placed neatly folded on the bedspread. My privacy was invaded.

I can't say too much about Fayetteville because I generally spend 1 night there on my way to and from NYC to Sarasota. I suspect it's rather popular due to Ft. Bragg. There's a Starbucks in the area that may be one of the nicest! At 10 p.m. the only place open for food was a McDonald's.
