It was not easy to get around Izmir as there were not signs in English. And there were not booklets in English for tourists to be well oriented in the city.
We enjoyed the boat trip and walked along the seaside.

So many things to see on day trips from the area: Ephesus, Pamukkale and Hieropolis, Cesme, etc. What's left of old part of town is worth a visit as are the remains of the ancient Greco-Roman town (though a lot is currently closed off). Much of the city by the water is 'new' because of the destruction of the 1922 fire, which is sad. But a great experience overall (even the taxi drivers are nice and honest, and the weather was much better than in Istanbul). Definitely want to go back.

Konak area is good for tourist and close to Clock Tower and Kemeralti carsi. Kardiyaka is very good are to see , you can go eith tram or ferry. Also very interesting part is Dario Moreno street where you have very nice bars and nightlife. At the end you can rich with elevator to the top restaurant with magnificent view of the city.
The hotel is nearby the bazaar market. You have to go through a fish market, which made me surprise the first time, but we got used to it. The hotel has an amiable staff. One of the workers, Turker, helped us to plan our two days in Izmir. Make sure you have time to see Virgin Mary’s home, where she lived her last few years. The Ephesus was also unforgettable. Turker was sweet and friendly and even taught us a new game on the Backgammon Board. We had so much fun, even though the weather wasn't the best. Thank you!
Staff at this hotel were simply the best . I had an issue that I couldn’t be accommodated with a room with a window. I was in Izmir for a medical condition , and every piece of daylight I can get is important. However this does not take away from the fact that this is a marvellous hotel. Restaurant Food was great with staff who go above and beyond. The chef was an awesome young man . I will stay here again , the hospitality was fantastic. I’d definitely recommend this hotel
Everything with this hotel is exceptional. First, the location … best location in Izmir. The room was excellent, with window facing the sea!!! The food was excellent, the service was excellent, all the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, and accommodating our needs. The rooftop bar and swimming area is wonderful!!! Best view of the sunsetting from the rooftop. we had the best vacation and will definitely return to the hotel!!!!
Superb hotel with excellent service ! Very customer oriented and dedicated concierge team - every wish was fulfilled. The housekeeping team was very flexible and nicely taking care of our executive suite and our executive room. The staff at the breakfast and in the executive lounge was very polite and the food quality was really excellent. The location of the hotel including the park around was beautiful and really in the heart of Izmir.
The staff was really kind and caring. Hotel has all the facilities we needed including a club for kids. Night shows were bonus. Meals were really tasty. We put on extra weight due to open buffets and drinks all day long. There were 3 pools; one for babies, two for everyone. My kids especially enjoyed the water slides. Also, the beach access is quite easy. I would highly recommend this hotel to those whi like all inclusive deals.
The hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance from the Konak Pier, Kemeralti Market and Izmir Clock Tower. For those wishing to take a bus to Pamukkale, the metro and bus stations are also just around the corner. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are helpful. The breakfast is also good and substantial. The hotel is very good value for money. Highly recommended!
If you are visiting Epesus this is you ideal place to stay. It is only a short drive to the ancient site, five minutes drive to a cute village on the hills where you can have a nice dinner and shop for local products. It is only 20 minutes drive to Kusadasi for a stroll on the beach. Plenty of private parking, nice garden and swimming pool. Lovely breakfast.
We stayed at the same hotel two years ago - last time we needed to spend the night in Izmir to attend an early morning appointment. The fact that we went back to the same hotel shows how highly we thought of it. Breakfast was served early enough for us to get something to eat before attending our early morning appointment!
location is very good, 10 mins walking from corniche. room was a bit small, but i stayed there only for one night. the personnel was friendly. breakfast was average compared to what normally Turkey hotels offer. Parking is on the other side of the road a bit challenge to make some rounds on one way streets.
I arrived at mid night to Izmir and I stayed just one night in this perfect hotel. It was excellent more than what I expected. easy check / check out, very comfortable room and bed, clean, nice breakfast and the staff were very kind and helpful.
The hotel and facilities are truly 5 Star. The room was spacious, well appointed and quiet. The common areas, restaurant and Spa are well presented with very friendly and helpful staff.
We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The service was excellent, including breakfast. We really liked the location of the hotel - near the sea and in a pleasant neighborhood. We would choose this hotel again on a next stay in Izmir.
Nice hotel, well located, near to the train station. The staff was very friendly and helping.
Even if the building is not very recent and new, the room was clean.
Will recommend it for depending one or two nights in Izmir.
I dont know why this hotel has a 3 star rating. It should at least be 3.5 stars. Very nice hotel, friendly staff that takes care of your requests promptly.
The breakfast was good and they never charged for any water bottles
Though we paid for the double room, hotel gave us a suit so our 4 year old can sleep comfortably. Breakfast was great, staff was very polite and helpful. Overall it was amazing stay in Izmir. We stayed only two nights.
The Key Hotel is a small upmarket Boutique Hotel right on the waterfront in Izmir. The rooms are modern, elegant and designed with exceptionally good taste. Simply a beautiful, elegant and refined hotel.
excellent location, easily to get the hotel from Izmir airport by metro-train, near metro station, near small supermarket and easily to find some food and drink, staffs are nice and helpful.
Our stay was amazing. Loved the location and the staff were amazingly helpful. The room was exceptional in every way. I will stay at the Key Hotel again on my next trip to Izmir!
