The location, the medieval decor and the staff at breakfast time were very helpful, they instantly arranged gluten free bread for me, on request. We also did a late check-in and a staff member waited till late for us to arrive.

Good large parking lot, restaurant is basic but is OK rooms quite nice but horrendous noise levels from neighbouring rooms, not always the hotel fault more to do with the clientele that stay here but an awful level of soundproofing between rooms

We stayed here 1 night in May 2024 in a Deluxe room.
The room is spacious and has airconditioning and a minibar but no water cooker or coffee machine. In addition to the double bed there is also a single bed.
The hotel is located within the citadel and has its own parking, it has 3 floors and there is an elevator.
Unfortunately the room has carpet and not a wooden floor. The window can be opened. There is a desk, 2 small couches and 2 comfortable chairs.
WiFi is good. The bed is good, the pillows disappointing.
Breakfastbuffet is good.

Alba Iulia's walled city was a surprising cluster of food stands and tourist trinket kiosks and rides for children. It was loud and busy. One museum was closed, and the Roman museum had busts of Roman rulers and pillars and other stone objects. Children will love it, but history-seekers might not.

Majestic city built inside a 16th century medieval fortress, keeping all the historical elements it is famous for. Many accomodations to choose from. Some great restaurants and diners. Open air swimming pools are available around the city. Nearby you can also find a forest and a great hilly area which provide a great panoramic view of the city.

Alba Iulia is a touristic town, full of history (the biggest fortress in Romania), with great connections by road ( A10, A1 ) , train or plane ( Sibiu Airport 50 minutes away and Cluj Napoca 1 h. 15 minutes ). There are very good restaurants with reasonable prices - Vila Preciosa or Pub13, for example. Plenty of cultural events are going on, every month. Don't miss the changing of guards on Saturdays and Sundays from 12.00. Also, Fridays, at 19.00 there is a Daco - Romans Fighting Show. Don't miss the History Museum and Sala Uniri ( where the unification act was signed on 1st of December 1918 ). There is a new and nice museum for icons - Museikon.ro. The cathedrals - catholic "Sf Mihail" - the oldest and longest in Romania, and orthodox - The Coronation Cathedral, where King Mihai 1 was crowned in 1922. Have fun!

Pleasant experience overall, not only inside the fortress, but also walking on the cobbled pathway between the two external walls of the bastion, where nowadays there are benches, ornamental trees and even a small pond with exotic fish. There are a few cafes and food vans inside the citadel, so the visitors could recharge themselves while walking between statues, churches and museums.

This is a city in Romania which is really prepared for tourism, above all the expectations that we had. There are QR codes on the streets and on the main attractions, English speaking in every museum and restaurant that we entered.

I visited the city for a music festival held at RYMA spaces, inside the fortress.
The fortress is well preserved and has a lot of wonderful sights and attractions. It has been restored and looks great.
However, the city itself is not that cool - it does not have too much to offer, except for the fortress and historical center, of course. It is unkempt and, with the exception of the modern center, rather poorly maintained. The roads are terrible - potholes, roadworks, poor traffic management, etc..
If you are not attending a festival/other event, spending more than one night here is too much.
We had a very pleasant stay at Casa Ampeia. The accommodation is about 10 min ride from Alba Iulia and was therefore a perfect location for us. The accommodation is next to a pretty busy road, but you do not hear the cars inside nor in the garden. The garden is very nice to sit in.
The lady who welcomed us was very lovely and even though we were the only guests, we did not feel unsafe at all. It is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace.
Beautiful house in Alba Iulia, walking distance to the zitadel and two fantastic restaurants. Casa cu Nuc is an excellent place for your stay. Extremely clean, very comfortable bed, spacious apartment for 2 people. Option for washing your clothes and private parking. Alina and the lady from the breakfast were vey friendly and kind to us. I can recommend you to stay at Casa cu Nuc if you happen to be in Alba Iulia.
Stylish new apartment fully equipped with everything we needed, 10 min walking distance from the Alba Iulia Citadel.
Minimalist looking, spacious, the cleanliness was on point, all the appliances were functional, comfortable new furniture…
The host was the best, very kind and extra hospitable!
Honestly the property and the service exceeded our expectations, definetely recommend it and will surely return again!
In itself, it wasn’t a really bad experience. But due to some poor design choices for the room, I can’t recommend this place. Here are some good things:
* Close to the Alba Iulia Citadel
* Private parking inside the courtyard
* Awesome patio
* Free complementary coffee and tea
* Comfy bed
* Complementary toiletries
* Boho style room
The location is very good and there is plenty of parking which normally is payable, but on this ocasssion due to roadworks it was free. Room was nice & warm, with a coffee machine, fridge and an AC. The owner did provide us with a text message with all the relevant details for someone who is new to the town of Alba Iulia. Thank you
I had a fantastic one-night stay at this apartment! The place was clean and wonderfully quiet. The highlight was definitely the spectacular views of Cetatea Alba Iulia. It was amazing to be within walking distance of such a historic site, and having a variety of restaurant options nearby was a great convenience. Highly recommend!
This apartment has a perfect location in Alba Iulia! Has all the amenities near like shops, pharmacies, restaurants, gyms, etc. The size of the apartment is good and is perfect for me.
Owners treat me very well in my stay, helping me with any doubt/issue I had. I recommend it 100%
The entire experience was wonderful! Everything was newly renovated and extremely comfortable! If you have the opportunity to stay here, it is well worth the very reasonable price! We will be staying here again if we find ourselves back in Alba Iulia.
Everything was amazing. It's probably the best hotel where you can stay in Alba Iulia. Spacious room, really comfortable bed, clean bathroom, amazing breakfast, nice terrace, a very polite and helpful owner.
Thanks for an amazing experience!
Your perfect little home in Alba Iulia.
Beautifully decorated, extremely confortabile, fully equipped, perfect location. There was nothing missing in this apartment, everything was great. We will stay here whenever we are in Alba Iulia.
Couldn't be any more centrally located right on Alba Iulia's main tourist attractions with great views!
Great comfort and facilities you wouldn't get in a hotel room and at an unbeatable value!
Simply unbelievable!
I have stayed here a few times now on business travel and it is by far the best. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast with a good variety. It is the only place I want to stay in Alba Iulia.
The location is beautiful near by the Alba Iulia citadel. The room is clean and comfortable. The apartment has kitchen with all you need. And the balcony is wonderful. The view from the balcony is great.
Everything was amazing! Very beautiful and cozy and welcoming place, everything was absolutely perfect! Also, very good location, right in the center of Alba Iulia, right near Alba Iulia Citadel
Very well located just a short walk to the historical centre and lots of restaurants. The hotel restaurant is also good and seems popular with residents. The included breakfast was excellent.
Clean and spacious apartment with nice design. Walking distance to Alba Iulia citadel, to supermarket (Lidl or Dacia) and to restaurants. Parking in front of it.
