Scenic Suites Queenstown, hotel in Queenstown

Scenic Suites Queenstown is located in the resort of Queenstown. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the centre, yet its quiet, hillside location offers great views over the lake and mountains.

To be honest the only thing we liked about the hotel is there exceptional level of hospitality and warmth exhibited by the staff, particularly the reception staff and the duty manager who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. All staffs we encountered were friendly and helpful. Kudos to them for running this place. The room initially allotted to us had great views of Bob's peak. The hotel is just 10mins walk from the main city area. Check in and check out was a bliss and a smooth process; thanks to the staffs.

I’ve been in Queenstown 3 times.

I’ve been in Queenstown 3 times. I can’t say enough about the beauty in its natural surroundings. It’s so beautiful in summer and autumn. Pick a nice apartment and stay for a week. You can take a walk along the lake, or rent a bike, or paddle in the lake. There are just too many ways to celebrate the beauty. Avoid the tourist attractions and go to the off beaten tracks. Pack a picnic and sit under the sun for the fresh air. Queenstown is everything you want.

Queenstown is a mountain town on a lake with a beautiful waterfront. You can walk or bike around the lake. Lots of tourist shops, restaurants, and activities in and around the main centre. It is very easy to walk around Queenstown, more of a pain to drive as there is a lot packed into a small space. I wish they had a train from Christchurch and you could leave the car behind as there is enough to do by foot, boat or even tour bus for days.

The hotel was good, limited parking and a little on high on cost. Queenstown is nice little city, if you have time you can travel to Milford sound, but as we were there for two days, the Information Centre was only interested in selling the tours they do and we found out that there was more todo within the city, like Paragliding, Cable car and nice restaurants and cafes, English Gardens, Ferry across the lake etc.

Queenstown is as fantastic holiday destination for every age group. The location is stunning, the range of activities available unbelievable, restaurants and cafes are in good supply and the staff are happy and helpful. Autumn is a ringer time of the year to be in this beautiful city… full of colour… not too cold.. just perfect. It is easy to walk around, signage is good and the only downside can be parking so if you can walk all the better.

The staff at reception were very friendly and accommodating + the cleaners were also very friendly when we occasionally ran into them heading in-and-out on our day-to-day activities. Overall we found the rooms to be fairly spacious compared to similar hotels at similar prices. Only a short walk to the center of Queenstown. They had purchasable kits from reception for convenience (toothbrush & toothpaste or Shaving kits) and a nice catalog of things to do in Queenstown stationed on a table inside the apartment.

That's a nice hotel. Great location, a good price compared to others, good noise insulation and great views (partially). Quiet area close to the airport, shops and just under 15 mins drive to Queenstown. 3 of us (a couple with 2.5 years old) stayed in a one-bedroom apartment, the bed and the place, in general, were good enough. There are a few things to improve but overall I can recommend and stay again in this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Koura Apartments in Queenstown. The apartment is very thoughtfully designed with a minimalist but functional design that does not sacrifice comfort, very similar to what I've seen in Scandinavian countries. Our host, Kal, was very accommodating, and checking in and out was very easy. The location is fantastic, about a 5 min walk to central Queenstown. I highly recommend these apartments.

Fantastic stay at Melbourne Lodge from the warm welcome offered by Vineet (Manager) to the quality of the room amenities. Ideal location so close to Queenstown central, I can highly recommend this hospitable establishment.

We've stayed here a few times, but this was our first time in the Penthouse. You can't find anything cheaper in Queenstown CBD, and it's nicer than all the other backpackers I've stayed in. The pods provide lots of privacy. The Penthouse had its own deck and kitchen, which was ideal for a wine + cheese as the sun went down over the lake. We'll be back
