All was nice , good food , atmosphere, beach, landscapes , friendly people. A bit problematic to get to the airport and from airport , sometimes you need a taxi which is from 20 EUR for ~ 8 min. If you want to eat in a good place in the city centre , better make reservation beforehand as everything can be booked.

Unfortunately Pescara got destroyed by the allied bombing...
Unfortunately Pescara got destroyed by the allied bombing during WW2 and rebuilt with total disregard of the original architectonic style and history of the place. I was really disappointed by how much concrete and senseless modern buildings and structures were built from the 60s until probably the 90s. There are a couple of spots which are still beautiful like the old town and the tiny pineta area in front of the beach but for the rest is an ugly city. On a positive note, the sea promenade is pretty amazing for walkers and runners and people are generally really nice.

It is a lively city with, what appears to be, a young thriving population. The beaches are clean and large expanses are public. The town has several excellent restaurants. Lots of pleasant walkways, bicycle paths. In october the weather was fine, water in the see was warm, but the restaurants were closed or opened very late. People in Pescara speak only italian. There is not a lot to see in P. They don´t want turists, which I understand after Rome.

Brilliant for a city break or for family's you get brilliant beach with great restaurants hidden gem with very few tourists just Italians if you see a lot of Italians eating in a restaurant that's your place , they know there food , Italians will not eat rubbish

Best feature of the hotel is the staff and from the front desk to the chamber maids they were all great. Difficult to highlight anybody but a honourable mention to Giuseppe (Joseph) and Micaela on the front desk who we had the most interaction with. Location was good for us because we were not bothered about venturing too far and wide and walked everywhere we needed to. Breakfast was also a highlight with enough choice for all dietary needs.

With most hotels in Italy, it's a bit like timetravel back to the 1980's....so B&B are a great choice for modern things like duvets, working aircon, and swipe card keys. Hotel is perfectly nice, similar to Ibis or Travelodge....clean, practical, impersonal, annonymous. For any fellow bike travellers out there, there is a bike rack directly outside hotel, which seems reassuringly visible and secure.
