The room was very comfortable. The beds were cozy. The owners and staff were all very friendly. The shared kitchen was well equipped, very clean, and I was a big fan of the free coffee. It is in a great location in Hofn, everything within the city is in walking distance. We had a wonderful view of the Northern Lights from Hofn too.

Very quaint and QUIET seaport town. A lot of the restaurants and bars were closed during my stay but was able to go to 1 of them which was lovely. It's a very far east part of Iceland I recommend going to, even if it is for 1 night.

Gem! This was worth the extra drive to visit. Honestly it was my favorite part of Iceland. Rugged beauty without the long line of tourist buses to contend with. Stokksnes Beach is a hidden gem at sunrise!

The Berjaya in Höfn is in a wonderful position with the harbour on one side and a view out across the water to the glaciers and the west on the other. It is also easy walking distance to all the local bars and restaurants.

Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland.
Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland. It has numerous, easy walking paths thru town and around their waterfront including a golf course with views that I think rival those of the finest courses in the world. Not a golfer, but if I were, this is a place I would want to play. It was spectacular. The views of the glacier were outstanding. There were several good restaurants, lobster is a local specialty. There are nature and art trails along the waterfront and a number of good historical exhibits. Wished we could have spent more time here. It felt like a vibrant, fully functioning community that I would have liked to explore more.

it was one of the most expensive stay on our 12 days trips.
it was one of the most expensive stay on our 12 days trips. The room did not match the pricing.
There were not microwave nor toaster nor any other means to warm up any food. Only one working chair in the room.
It was clean, but not worth the price.

Unlike tourist traps in the USA, Hofn is a marine village built to accommodate itself throughout the seasons. It's a place to relax, take in the fresh air, and chill. Its natural beauty is more than enough.
Inga is the best host we have ever met. She is very kind and friendly. She showed us the lovely animals around the farm (the dog Isey is so adorable) and answered all our questions about Iceland. Staying here is truly one of the best b&b experience we’ve ever had. The room is clean and the breakfast is delicious! The location is very close to vestrahorn and the town hofn. We can’t wait to go back and will definitely stay longer next time when we visit. Highly recommend this place!
Check-in was simple ie collect keys from a letterbox outside with a combination code, hence it accorded flexibility in arrival time. This was especially helpful in Iceland where drive timings can be hard to predict due to sudden inclement weather. The little hill near the cabins had chairs and benches for aurora and stars viewing. Fortunately, we saw a strong aurora on the day we stayed at the cabins and managed to snap a few good photos!
The room was spacious, modern, clean, nice and we had a TV with Netflix in it.
Breakfast was great, had a menu for breakfast (extra things) for no extra charge - avocado toast, muesli and scrambled eggs. Food was delicious
To top it off, the location was great abd the views from the room & restaurant were gorgeous - overlooking the glacier nearby.
Probably our top hotel off of our 3 week stay in Iceland.
Absolutely stunning location, I can’t emphasise this enough. We were lucky enough to experience some of the aurora borealis just a short drive from the guesthouse. The rooms are very clean and warm in the winter, and the breakfast included in the price is a real plus and, from our experience, this is quite rare in Iceland. Probably the most memorable accommodation from our whole trip.
If you've never been to Iceland, get used to sharing showers, bathrooms, and kitchen with all the other guests. They're really nice bathrooms and kitchen, but you might not be used to it. But it makes for great interactions with staff and fellow travelers.
If you're an extrovert, this stay is perfect for you. Introverts might have less fun here.
This was the best stay of our entire Iceland trip. We had booked the private washroom rooms and those are just across the main reception area. Fantastic room with super scenic views of the surrounding. We got to see northern lights at this location. Dinner provided by the hotel was super tasty. Staff was also very friendly.
The guesthouse is a farm run by a lovely Icelandic woman who really makes your stay super nice and tells you a lot of things about Iceland. The breakfast was really nice with homemade sweets. The room was very clean and confortable. The private bathroom was outside of the room but super clean and nice
A hotel that with the backdrop of Vatnajökull behind. It is located inside the town of hofn. Hofn is one of the underrated town and is a picturesque town in its own rights. Will recommend to friends to visit this town as all the amenities are walkable distance despite the Icelandic weather.😁
Very comfortable studio. Simple but clean and the kitchen was reasonably well equipped. Wifi worked fine. The bed was comfortable. It was an easy walk (even in the rain) to two excellent restaurants. We ate at Pakkhus and had the best meal of our weeklong trip around Iceland there.
The guesthouse is situated quite conveniently close to the South Iceland main road. For kids a table soccer offers some distraction. As the next city (Höfn) is still 25 km away, it is nice that the guesthouse offers dinner as well as breakfast.
Great location in Höfn, a nice small hotel with big, clean rooms and a great breakfast included in the price. The self check-in system works great, so you can arrive whenever you want. One of the best hotels I had on my trip to Iceland!
Comfy beds, clean, nice shower and the first hotel in two weeks in Iceland that had a usable bathroom sink with a faucet placed high enough the you could actually get your hands under it to wash them..
It is a guesthouse in the countryside and one doesn't expect much of it, but it was a bit isolated and far from everything. A good station on the road to more interesting places in Iceland.
The staff person Anastasia was super helpful and fun to talk to. I really enjoyed this hostel. I was in Iceland for a week and stayed at 3 hostels. The Hofn hostel was the most friendly.
we booked it the very last minute, the owner showed up very quickly
it’s the coziest guesthouse we stayed at during our travel in Iceland, the view is also beautiful
Not a big name fancy hotel. but the room is up to “ Holiday Inn “ standard; big, clean and comfortable, hardly found such stay at such low price nowadays in Iceland
