How lovely to stay in a house that has architectural and historical significance. The present owners have lovingly restored it but it is still obviously a family home. Jean will be happy to tell you about the house and serves a delicious breakfast.

The location is ideal for travelling to other parts of Tipperary and Kilkenny. The Leisure centre and pool are lovely and a welcome respite from the heat. We travelled to Thurles and to Clonmel when we were there.

I have over the years used the hotel to meet customers, have meetings over lunch. I stayed at the hotel mainly because it is central geographically from a work point of view but would be the same for holidaying in Ireland. The bar area and food was great, a good choice to choose from and the staff very helpful. The room was perfect and comfortable, Wi-Fi worked very well and reliable, bathroom was spacious and you got plenty of towels!! A great breakfast to put you on, i will be staying here again when next working in Ireland
The Horse and Jockey is fabulous. This is my second time staying there and it never disappoints. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The leisure centre and spa are great and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We had massages from Zoey in the spa and enjoyed them so much! The food and bar are lovely and we got to enjoy a drink outside on their patio as the weather was lovely when we stayed. Would definitely recommend for families or couples!
A lovely, friendly hotel - every one of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Hubby and I frequented the Horse & Jockey every weekend when it was just a pub after we met in the late 80's. We loved it then and even though it has grown in size, the same welcome and friendliness is apparent :-) Thanks for a grand visit 🌻
The whole hotel is fantastic. The food was excellent and the room was massive 339. Roll top bath exceptionally good ! The theme of horses was really clever and I enjoyed all of the old pictures and paintings and took lots of photos. One of the best if not thee best hotel we’ve stayed at and will be back.
We stopped at the hotel on our road trip around Ireland. The place was easy to reach, in a nice 'rural/village' setting. Regarding this, the affiliated (cozy!) pub and restaurant were very convenient. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and comprehensive.
Dinner menu is extremely good with a a great selection.
Quality of dinner is exceptional. I especially liked the Lamb cutlets, cooked to perfection an the Tiramisu is to die for.
Refurbished rooms are very tastefully finished.
Spacious shower with good water pressure.
Hello.
Overall the stay was fine. We stopped off en-route to Killarney and we have stayed there before and it was grand. The only thing that the hotel really needs is decorated. The outside is now shabby looking and the inside is very dark and gloomy in places.
Rooms are v spacious and comfortable and it's nice to have tea/coffee and other facilities. Food is excellent in the bar, and good service, and we loved the bakery and gift shop in the hotel. The pool area is amazing and spotless. We enjoyed out swim.
It is spacious, clean and very comfortable ( soft cotton sheets, bed clothes and pillows). The staff were expert, friendly and authentic. The food is a no fancy frills variety, fresh, honest and tasty - this is rare.
Staff friendly and whole place felt homely and comfortable.
Food was excellent and rooms comfortable, parking very easy and plentiful good all round atmosphere within hotel and bar
Good location for visiting the rock of Cashel. lovely view of horses. big beds & good amenities in the rooms. nice pool! pub, restaurant & gift shop in the hotel.
Menu is great, food & service is top class!
Housekeeping are on point!
Rooms & hotel are warm and inviting.
Well staffed restaurant & pub.
