A super location for a stay near Motovun. Nena is an exceptional host who kindly took our bikes in and locked them away in the garage. She took us to the village in her car which is a 25 min walk up the road. She also made us coffee and pastry breakfast.

This apartment is in a beautiful location if you’d like to unwind after a long day of seeing Motovun. My partner and I biked to Motovun, then checked in around 7 pm, and left in the morning via the Parenzana (additional perk that the path is right by). The apartment is a bit far from Motovun by foot, took us approximately 15 minute by bike (and that was going downhill). We didn’t stay long in the morning and did not get to experience the complimentary breakfast that many other reviews referred to. The apartment did have an electric kettle (but no instant coffee) and a mini fridge. Everything was very clean and we loved sitting in the backyard, watching the stars.
Offering a garden, Apartman Fachin offers accommodations in Motovun. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

The apartment was beautiful! The perfect combination of modern and rustic looks and amenities. Upon arrival, the wonderful hosts offered us their amazing wine and a tasty selection of meats, cheeses, grapes, and fresh bread, which we enjoyed under a perfect gazebo right in front of the apartment. I drive a truck, and parking was more than adequate, right at the apartment door. I really appreciate the hosts' kindness and openness to me and my three sons. I recommend bringing some coffee to enjoy the mountainside view in the morning, though. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet stay for a great price!

Great place for lovers of medieval hill-top towns and truffles. One can enjoy just a stroll through the town and views of surroundings for an hour, can have a great dining experience or stay for days and explore Istria, one of the prettiest and welcoming places on earth. "Medieval" and "hill-top" also mean that you walk a lot on rugged cobblestone, you walk uphill and climb stairs, and "great place" means it's crowded in the high season (summer). Still, one of the better places to escape to from crowded coastal towns, focused primarily on visitors' wallets.

A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore.
A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore. Be sure to visit the cathedral (opened about 10 during our visit) and (carefully) climb the bell tower for a spectacular view of the valley and beyond. We visited in late October when some businesses had closed for the season and others were winding down. We would visit again in September.

Great location in old town.
Great location in old town. Wonderful people and amazing views from the walls and restaurants. Wine and truffle country and free samples were almost too much. Lol
Tiny and hilly old stone streets within a walled city oozing with history.
Our host was gracious, laid back and a pleasure to just chat with.
We would highly recommend.

It's a spectacular location on a hilltop with amazing views all-round of mountainous country including vineyards & olive groves. Delicious and reasonably-priced restaurants at the very top, friendly people, tons of charm. Nearby are several vineyards & the local wines are very nice, and affordable. Easy day trips to Pula, Rovinj, Buzet & others.

This was my first time in Istria.
This was my first time in Istria. We checked out Kozlovic winery, we sampled their delicious wine and had a tour. View is spectacular. Had dinner in Motovun, tried gnocchi with truffles, very tasty! Pictures of the amazing views do not do it justice. Will definitely visit again!

Motovun is lovely little town in the heart of Istria.
Motovun is lovely little town in the heart of Istria. I really liked it. The prices at restaurants in general in comparison to offer are a bit limited. However we managed to find something for ourselves at the end. We missed bakeries. We did not find single one so we travelled to Pazin on our way back home and found amazing bakery.
Perhaps tourism board should create a special list with all possible places providing food and menu of same, all in one place saves from walking especially if one has slight walking disabilities.
Everything else is lovely and look forward returning to Istria
Amazing location in the old town of Motovun. As you come out of the building, you get a wonderful view of the valley.
I imagine this is a traditional Istrian house. I loved it because it feels more like a cottage, not a hotel.
You can also use the shared kitchen if you want to cook (not just a kettle & microwave but a proper kitchen) and the living room even if you only book for a single room.
A beautiful place with a lot of history, culinary indulgence. The view is fantastic. You can use the hotel shuttle from the parking lot to the hotel; otherwise, the route is approximately 1.5 km long (on foot). The waiters tried hard and were in a good mood despite the occasional big crowd.
The superb location, you are in the centre of Motovun with breathtaking views over the valley and beyond. The terrace is a great space, we enjoyed BBQs and then the hot tub! the house is really well equipped and furnished to a high standard whilst being really comfortable.
Really lovely hotel in a great area with a great view of Montona hill, town and castle. Surrounded by the wineyards - which wines you can enjoy at the hotel restaurant. Restaurant with short and well composed menu. Excellent staff - very helpfull guys!
Thank you!
Landlord Nena is very friendly and approachable. Room and facilities are clean and comfortable. Location is great, Motovun is in the walking distance from the house, about 20 minutes by foot. View from the terrace is amazing. Good value for money.
Very nice stay in a quiet place with lovely hosts and good breakfast. We stayed just a night and arrived late, so cannot tell you about diner, but we heard from other guest it was great :)
Very close to Motovun with a great view ..
We stayed here for a week, Motovun was our base for exploring Istria. The flat is great, very cosy and with a lovely view. It has all necessary amenities and it's in a great location. We enjoyed our time here immensely.
Calm village, very near Motovun, friendly neighbours, the owner came by one day and even brought a cake that she baked herself, we had the opportunity to be at the vine tasting… could not ask for more
We enjoyed the beautiful view of the Motovun Forest from the balcony. My bird call app showed 14 different birds at breakfast! Love the location so close to the center of Motovun.
This is a large, spacious room really in the middle of so much. The hostess, Irena, was welcoming and helpful. Parking was extra but much less that the city rate.
