Skala is a really lovely place, with fantastic restaurants, cafes and bakeries. The food is really reasonable and Skala is easy to get around. We got the bus up to Argostoli for the day and it was really good to go up and see there again. The buses are a bit limited this time of year but we got a taxi back and it was well worth it for a full day up there. Skala is a really friendly place and you are made to feel so welcome. it is such a lovely place to visit and see with stunning views and lovely people.

Restaurants are excellent with plenty of choice, Flamingo our favourite, beach is long and easy to walk along. Central to visit other areas in south of island. Everywhere people friendly and welcoming.

It’s a great location.
It’s a great location. It has bars and restaurants but not big night life. Which I like. More family and friends & couples. Which makes the area even more special. No big groups of party etc. Any restaurant on the square is great. We spend a month with out son who is 2 years old and we felt at home. The hosts were really helpful and they responded to every request we made. They even prepared a barbecue night for us and it was really pleasant. A cleaning lady comes every day and she is doing an amazing job. We were allowed to use the pool of the hotel near by for fee. I recommend to everyone to enjoy at Joy!

Restaurant and pool were very good. Restaurant staff were smiley and attentive. Location really great in terms of proximity to a fantastic beach. And near to lots of restaurants, and supermarkets. Expensive beach chairs but found out the hotel had a discount deal on the second to last day.

Air conditioning in all rooms, parking place, shower outside to get rid of sand when coming from beach, in one sentence "the perfect place to stay when in kefalonia". Hosts were very kind, they even served us with vegetables from their garden.
