Did the job, cute wee room above a traditional Cumbrian pub. Great place to stay if you also want to enjoy some real ales and Cumbrian food. The staff were all lovely and it had good heating (not always the case in these parts). The breakfast the next day was tasty and served in front of a roaring fire.

The food was absolutely amazing, really high quality food. There were also two gentleman that were really friendly, they need to teach their customers service skills to the younger boys! Very great location wise.

Excellent customer service from the staff members. The facilities, room, kitchen, bathroom. Etc were all kept nice and clean. We grabbed a frozen pizza on the way and made use of one of the two ovens they had. Kitchen has most the equipment and utensils required to make your own however we opted for the cooked breakfast and pie and mash supper the following day - both lovely.

Special touches which made it stand out, cosy & comfortable house with welcoming hosts Anne and Michael. Pot of tea and coffee on arrival and Anne’s homemade Parkin cake. We also had a dainty bottle of sherry in our room which we didn’t have but was a welcoming touch. The bedroom was beautifully furnished and clean and the hosts relaxed and care about making customers feel at home. The breakfast menu choices are numerous and all top quality ingredients. The cost was superb for this value of accommodation.
