Booked a twin room which was a decent size.
Shower was excellent which was a big plus after walking all day.
Had a meal and a few beers in the bar at night - good choice of menu at a reasonable rice.
Breakfast in the morning was excellent.
On the route of the excellent Kinross P&R to Perth bus route operated by Glenfarg Community Group which we used to get to and from the Bein Inn.
Offering free WiFi throughout the property, The Crees Room only NO BAR OR RESTAURANT is situated in Abernethy, 34 km from Discovery Point and 38 km from St Andrews University.

I couldn’t fault the staff at this venue. I was staying by for work and arrived late after work. They managed to get me a table, without hesitation, for some food even though it was the Saturday before Christmas. They were super attentive, the food was insane and I couldn’t fault the service. They even made me the most perfect breakfast bag to take away.

The room was clean and just big enough for the two of us. The landlady was really lovely and very accommodating. We requested to check in before 3 as we had a wedding and she made sure the room was ready for us. Which really helped.

What breakfast? Staff was good and very helpful. Room was clean, bed was ok. It was quiet at night time, thank you for that.

Almost nothing good about this hotel, other than close to where I needed to be.
The two young breakfast staff were great, working so hard in complete adversity to a kitchen that couldn't get all the elements of the buffet out at one time. The bar staff were also fantastic, especially given the bleak bar area they work in.

Clean, fresh room, ensuite shower,no bath, tea and coffee provided with kettle, microwave Beautiful location and village although we didn't explore as the purpose of our visit was to meet our newborn granddaughter who is in lumphinnans and that's where we spent all our time.
TV had Freeview and fire stick as well as Chromecast which was very thoughtful . Lovely garden and liked the fact we had private and secure entrance. Very nice and comfortable all in all and any messages to staff were answered immediately. Would definitely stay again and explore the staff suggestions listed in room and site.
One of the most unique hotels in Perth, set in a 15th century watermill, where you can still watch the water trickling through the original water wheel from the garden, reception area and Lounge Bar.
The location is good to get away from towns/cities.
The location is good to get away from towns/cities. It suited us, as close to family we were visiting. It was very relaxing in the hotel. The only slight issue was the danger of the road crossing from car park, as traffic is deceivingly fast there.

We stayed 1 night for Hogmanay. The hotel staff were great.
We stayed 1 night for Hogmanay. The hotel staff were great. Very attentive and saw we had everything we needed. The food was really good for a small hotel and given the number of people at the Hogmanay dinner, quality excellent. Quick, efficient service with a smile. Breakfast was fresh and good quality. Portions at meals were generous and options suited us perfectly. My only wish was that the decor in the bedrooms could be brighter. Fresher. The cleanliness was excellent/faultless. The decor was just dated. However everyone’s taste is different.

Beatiful countryside. Very peaceful location, quiet roads.
Beatiful countryside. Very peaceful location, quiet roads. Handy location for cycling to Kinross and surrounding area. Deer park near Cupar worth a visit, especially if you have children. Lots of nature and dark skies.
The hotel is in a charming location with a stream across the road an woods. My wife and I were in the main building and the room was clean and comfortable and large. Her Mother was in the modern annexe and the corridor to this was cold but the room OK.
The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and fast service even on Sunday when the hotel was more full. We ate in the restaurant once and the food was very good.
The staff were chatty, helpful and friendly.
Peaceful and beautiful location , lots of wildlife around, lovely hosts, we had everything we needed. Glenfarg Reservoir very close and quiet nearby. Loved the outdoor bbq and playing the board games and cards provided at night. Good to be off the grid without WiFi but glad I brought my cd player for a bit of music. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone wanting a quiet peaceful break with beautiful scenery.
Peace and quiet was what we wanted and that is EXACTLY what we got. The setting is amazing. If you want all mod cons with people running after you go to a hotel but if you want STUNNING views and tranquility then this is the place to stay. We only stayed 48 hours but left feeling relaxed and recharged.
The place has such a nice feel to it. I loved the fire place and seating area which is great to sit and have a drink. The fact that it is dog friendly is such a bonus for us. I have to say that I have never been made so welcome in a hotel for a long time and the food was magic. Highly recommended
Clean nice room, clean bath, good large bad. Sofa, table and two chairs. Large TV. Good food in restaurant directly in hotel. Meal on the table in ten minutes. Eco heating by wooden mass. Heating on at the end of May! Hot water, everything fine. I was so tired, I did not need to much more.
Breakfasts were simply delicious whether opting for full or smaller portions. Dinner menu choices were great and the meals we ordered were very tasty. The hotel was particularly popular with visiting guests for dinner and drinks and so there was a great atmosphere around the place.
Nice rural hotel in beautiful countryside. Room was on the ground floor in an annex next to the main building. Room was clean comfortable with good sized shower/bathroom. Good restaurant for both evening meal and breakfast
Visiting family in the area and I was very lucky to have found The Famous Bein Inn Hotel online. I will definitely be back. Great staff, comfy room and a proper breakfast! Excellent all round.
Nice location for a stopover on the way from the midlands to the far North West coast of Scotland. Always like to pick places with a bit of character to them.
