The location in the little village was perfect for food or drinks at night, the breakfast room of the hotel was made available to you to enjoy your evening take away too! ( but not in the room) Good showers , relaxing atmosphere.
Lovely breakfast too! Well informative with the history and very up to date with the local area with the 'what's going on' and laundry service if you should request, perfect!

Highly recommended. Friendly welcome, exceptional quality throughout, perfect location for our requirements and the breakfast was spot on. The small stairs presented a challenge for my size 13 feet but that's part of the charm of the place.

Beautiful, incredibly preserved small market town. The weather didn't allow us to explore close surroundingds as we wished. The town itself has got plenty of pubs, cafes, gift shops, art shops. The parking was not good steep narrow road I think once inside the property there was 44 steps or stairs some very steep and narrow, wouldn’t recommend to guests with any type of mobility issues. Lounge furniture needs replacing very old and uncomfortable lounge smelt musty. One of the bedrooms very damp with mushroom type mould Growing on wall and carpet. Bathrooms very nice modern plenty of them. Everything you needed supplied in the kitchen. Beds very comfortable lovely bedding. A well maintained property, with delightful hosts. Breakfasts very good. Lovely gardens and views of the countryside/hills. Room facilities good, comfy & cosy. I plan to stay here again when next visiting the area. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Good base for lots of things. great walking area. I used it as a base for a golfing break as it's in the centre of a triangle of some great links golf courses incl St David's [Harlech], Aberdovey, and Porthmadog, And the spectacular Welshpool GC with amazing views over 5 counties! Beautiful thriving little market town with lots of unique shops, as well as a few staples, and a big Spar. The restuarant that we went to (Y Sospan) was amazing. It was so handy for so many fabulous walks and stunning scenery. It’s not a part of Wales that we know well but found the area to be outstandingly beautiful. The accommodation was so comfortable cosy and warm really well put together. It was a real find. Absolutely perfect. The hosts Richard and his Nan were fantastic and so knowledgeable about the area. We want to come back again when we can.

There is simply so much to do in the area. Hill walking, watersports, cycling etc. The property was very spacious, with plenty of room to park all six of our cars. We absolutely loved the beautiful gardens leading down to the river, and the hot tub. Had the weather been poor, I'm sure we would have made more use of the games room.

Lovely and clean and has free sat which is a bonus as t.v reception can be a bit hit and miss in Dolgellau. The parking permit is great for parking at the nearby rugby club and other car parks in Gwynedd.
