Cozy, historical pub hotel in the village of Chagford opposite the town church. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Lots of space in the bar with a fireplace and old features. Open and modern dining area for breakfast in the morning (included) and lunch/dinner options (not included). Breakfast buffet with cereals, juices, coffee and a delicious hot breakfast cooked to order included. My eggs were poached to perfection! The rooms were cute, older style furniture in keeping with the theme and with lots of storage space. Very comfortable bed, fresh clean sheets. No noise from the downstairs bar at all. Coffee and tea facilities. Hairdryer in room. Big bathroom with shower unit. Lovely big fluffy towels, heated towel rail.

Such a pretty market town, Lots of independent shop and cafes. Plenty of scenic walks. Chagford has an outdoor fresh water swimming pool set in very scenic surroundings. Breath taking views of the surrounding countryside. The town itself is bursting to the seams with very old buildings and cottages (some thatched) and is steeped in history.
I somehow managed to choose the coldest, iciest and snowiest day to travel to Chagford on motorcycle. There were diversions on the A303 in two locations and on the A30 that severely delayed me but the host was most helpful, leaving a key in the door for me to arrive after the usual check in time. That flexibility was most appreciated!
Breakfast table by a sunny window overlooking the grounds. Elements of the breakfast and dinner were exceptional. High quality ingredients cooked superbly.
The Hotel had a relaxed friendly atmosphere and staff could not have been more attentive.
The grounds are beautiful and location for walking is excellent.
Wonderful village location. Friendly, traditional pub-hotel. Lovely room with a very comfy bed and a good, firm mattress. Dog-friendly with a good supply of dog bowls and mats. Great evening meal and breakfast. Good wi-fi too.
We had a very warm welcome, in fact all the staff we met were very friendly.
The hotel is in a great spot in this charming little town.
Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and our dog appreciated his treats as well.
A fabulous example of a traditional British pub/inn. The building is lovely and of course rooms reflect the nature the period property and the location in Chagford excellent in this part of Devon.
The cottage was pretty and quaint. Love how it was done. Comfortable with everything you need. Lovely little garden to sit in too. Chagford is a lovely place with lots of walks. Highly recommend.
Great location, friendly staff, outstanding food, and large comfortable room. Parking was very short walk to the hotel and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend Three Crowns.
The hotel is in a spectacular position. All staff very attentive and polite. Sitting rooms warm and cosy. Good shower and toiletries. Generally very clean.
