Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of perfection! Nestled near the village amidst stunning grounds by the river, the location couldn't have been better. We enjoyed fantastic walks, including a breathtaking gorge just 10 minutes away. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Our room was comfortable, with a lovely bed and bath. But what truly impressed us was the dining experience. Both breakfast and dinner were superb, with dinner reaching Michelin quality standards. Overall, an unforgettable stay. Perfect location, impeccable service, comfortable rooms, and outstanding dining options. We can't wait to return!

Small village but very quaint and with plenty of amenities available. The train station is right in the middle of the village and connects with Llandudno from where many connections are available to England’s major cities. Around the station are restaurants and cafes, and the visitor centre is in walking distance (also with cafe and other shops). I didn’t use any of the buses but could see a few that take you to other towns, including the ones that are a starting point to hike Snowdon. From Betws-Y-Coed there are a few very agreeable walks like Fairy Glen, Llyn Elsi, and Swallow Falls, through the forest or along the river. It’s a lovely place to stay for a few days. Tranquil and relaxing.

So much to do and see within a reasonable drive.

So much to do and see within a reasonable drive. Aswell as Betws-y-coed, we visited Zip World, Anglesey and Llandudno. Some of the roads were extremely narrow, but we hardly saw any traffic on them. Lots of lovely shops and cafes in Betws-y, and the views were amazing. We even saw the B&B that we visited 15 years ago was still there!

Attractive small town with much to see and do.

Attractive small town with much to see and do. Good range of shops, pubs and eateries all in a lovely valley setting. Good food options with take-aways, cafes, pubs, hotels and a few restaurants. Good access generally but busy pavements when it is really crowded in the Summer. Local.s generally welcoming and friendly. This is a clean little town that is attractive and well maintained. Plenty to do if you enjoy walking and exploring...including some well maintained river walks - but flat land is at a premium. There IS parking... but you often have to search for it!

Amazingly relaxing time and a pleasure to meet the Tyn-y-Coed staff - nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. The food and drink choices were exceptional and the log fire was a perfect backdrop to the bar and lounge. And best of all, the location is stunning and a perfect base for our trip. We'll be back for sure.

It's a small cottage in a beautiful location.

It's a small cottage in a beautiful location. Kitchen is tiny but perfectly adequate. Dishes are lovely. Washer, no dryer. No internet access, which is great if you're trying to get away from stress of work! Didn't receive reply to emails once we arrived, but they mY have been away. Short drive to betws y coed, which has the typical shops including an outdoor store where you can buy camping towels, if you didnt bring your own! and great food, and a wonderful hike up to a lake.

The room was clean, a little bit tired-looking. It has everything that you could expect from a 3-star hotel. The staff were outstanding, very friendly, nothing was a problem and made us very welcome. The 3-course dinner (not including) in the restaurant was delightful. There is a good selection of continental breakfast and a choice of cooked breakfast. We chose a full Welsh breakfast, which was exceptional. We also used the leisure center, which was clean but needed a bit of updating. However, it was a nice bonus.

The room was exceptional for the price, and in an established building of a well known Welsh village. The bed was really comfy, and good bedding. Excellent availability of tea and coffee supplies for the room, easily available outside the room. Particularly loved the key safe option for the room key and front door outside the main door. Communication online was excellent. Particularly loved the lack of noise, which I know I would have suffered in bigger accommodation nearby, due to lads on weekend hols.

Hotel location very close to the village centre with church nearby (nice to hear the bells). breakfast was very nice served in the room itself caused by covid restrictions, room was clean with hair-dryer, kettle and plenty of tea/coffee supply. Julie & Tony were really accommodating - prepared a take-away breakfast for us to have on our trip to the top of Snowdon. Really loved the whole area around the hotel and had a great time. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you very much for everything

We had a health problem and the owner changed the dates for us without charging extra with absolutely no hassle . The hotel is just a short walk from the town/village Center and was very warm , this is a good walkers hotel. It is not 5 star but very decent for the money so we were happy . Well priced for the area and access to walking routes and transport . The hotel is in a quiet place but at the same time on a main road. The owner is nice and breakfast decent .

The property was just outside of the village with a short walk to local restaurants and hotels/pubs. We were able to leave car outside at the property. Gary & Jackie were fantastic hosts and gave us plenty of help with things to do in the area. Also as a bonus, the bus stop for our ride on the S1 bus to Snowdon was 20 yards from the front door. We had a great weekend, the breakfast was awesome too!

The room and bed was comfortable, and there is plenty of space in the facility. For a hostel, the room had more hotel like facilities with tea and coffee etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty on offer. Its a good start to the day. Also the dining area is spacious There are some really comfortable chairs which you can relax in after a long day

Amazing location close to restaurants and beautiful walks close by. The buses to Snowdonia are within a 5 minute walk of the hostel as well which was great! The common areas were spacious, a large kitchen to use, showers had hot water and the beds were wooden so there was no squeaking. The staff were lovely and gave us advice for our trip - would stay here again next time we’re back!

The amenities, particularly the breakfast and food, were exceptional. We were delighted with our spacious room. Nestled in a scenic Welsh town, the hotel is accentuated by a nearby stream and a vast garden. The surrounding streets, dotted with unique shops and pottery, added to the charm. Undoubtedly, the hotel serves among the best food in the area.

Gid and Iza were exceptional hosts, helping us and giving us great advice before, during, and even after our stay. It's not often that the hosts make such a difference but this was truly the case. The room was comfortable and the view was great. Location was perfect - just a few blocks away from the center of Betws y Coed.

Dinner at their restaurant was fantastic. (But hard to get a reservation--book early.) They're very attentive to the Covid guidelines. The hotel is located in the middle of everything--near to pubs and also great hiking options. Free parking behind the church was reliable.

Food, when it arrived, was lovely and good sized portions. Hotel room was fine for the price we paid, I didn’t like that our room was also a fire escape so there was a break glass box with a key outside to gain access.
