Oyster Fleet Hotel, hotel in Battlesbridge

Oyster Fleet Hotel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Canvey Island.

My room was spotlessly clean and for a good value hotel like this, there was real care to make sure everything actually worked! Tea, coffee, hairdryer in room. Nice dispenser soaps. Good guide to the hotel. Receptionist very welcome. Bar downstairs very friendly and high quality food. Great service too. For the money it was far better than I’d expected.

If you love Antiques it’s perfect…full to the brim of them! Such a quant, friendly place. We’ve stayed both times as we had local parties to go to but made our trip longer due to the antique fairs, bonus.

Battlesbridge itself is very quirky with lots of interesting buildings selling antique and vintage items. We found the sellers friendly and welcoming. We ate lunch overlooking the estuary which was enjoyable.
