Overlooking the port in Sète, Hotel Port Marine welcomes you in a modern atmosphere. The small rooftop swimming pool measures 3.4 by 6 metres and boasts panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Easy to walk to nearby restaurants. Lovely walk down breakwater. Not brilliant for dog walking but I suppose most town centre hotels have similar problems.

Sete is a bit Venice but without the tourists.

Sete is a bit Venice but without the tourists. It is full of locals and local life, with fishing boats, some tour boats, yachts and even car ferries. The fantastic indoor market and restaurants specialise in seafood, particularly oysters - very reasonably priced. There are lovely walks up to Mont St-Clair, with its amazing views, or out to the lagoon or west along the miles of wide sandy beaches. There is a lot of handsome architecture in Sete and a lovely park.

The town is so walkable, yet there is still so much to see. So many different little areas and so charming. I never stopped eating as there is so much food to try. The Halles market is amazing! It has a very authentic feel, laid back...you feel like a local!

Wonderful town with a special feel, great resturants, shops, walk among the waters edge. Very easy to wander, a little difficult to park but a good underground carpark on the central road. Will look out for chances to visit again.

We ate in Sete twice, but were twice disappointed.

We ate in Sete twice, but were twice disappointed. The town of Sete was dirty and crowded. It was difficult to park in Sete, and difficult to drive around at the time we went (July) as it was very busy on the roads. I would not visit Sete again.

    I liked Sete.

I liked Sete. It was a good place to finish my bike ride from St Malo. However, it was also a bit too big and busy so a day less would have been good. Lots of restaurants, bars and places to just hang out and watch the world go by. A good train service to Montpellier.

It is an exceptional Hotel, filled with art, light and beautiful design - down to the gorgeous shower gets and shampoos. The women who work there for reception to cleaning and cooking are all Queens, who I applaud. My room had a balcony over the canal - it is absolutely a dream location, apart from the wonderful Art everywhere, my favourite bit is sitting on the balcony with a cool drink, watching the life of the Canal in the iridescent light. I adore staying there. I will be back, again.

The location of this hotel is absolutely brilliant, practically in view of the train station and really near the town centre. There's no denying it's basic but it's honestly perfect if you're on a bit of a budget. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great and it was faultlessly clean. The staff were really great in communications before I arrived and very friendly throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

The logis has a beautiful view down to the harbor and Mediterranean beyond. There is a pretty garden with fountains and fairly large swimming pool. The breakfasts were delicious and a great value! Staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was the very steep and narrow roads up to the hotel, a challenge for both walking and driving. But if you don’t mind that, it was a good value and nice spot to stay in Sète.

A QUITE UNIQUE BUILDING WITH GOOD DECOR. IN A GOOD LOCATION A SHORT WALK FROM THE CANALS AND HARBOUR BUT QUIET. EVENING MEAL IN THE RESTAURANT WAS SUPERB AND A GOOD BREAKFAST. PRIVATE CAR PARKING A SHORT WALK AWAY WAS VERY CONVENIENT. WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRCON ON THE FIRST NIGHT AND IT HAD BEEN FIXED BY THE TIME WE CAME BACK TO THE HOTEL IN THE AFTERNOON, VERY GOOD SERVICE.

Excellent location within striking distance of all that Sète has to offer. Extremely pleasant and helpful contact with Emilie to organise everything regarding accessing the property with some really useful bonus information on places to go, things to do etc. The flat is light, spacious and, on the whole, a very pleasant environment. The view from the terrace is splendid.
