We absolutely loved our stay, wish we could have been there longer. We travelled with my teenage daughter and her friend, both from London so you can imagine this was a real culture shock for them. They loved it. The highlight was the communal cooking area. Great facilities, fridge space, cooking areas and a real sense of community with lots of seating. Tongy the owner was just brilliant, super helpful yet chilled and inclusive. Comfortable beds and the icing on the cake Wifi!
I would recommend this experience to any one who doesn't really want to lug a load of camping gear in the car. You could literally fly with a suitcase and stay there.
The campsite itself (outside of the glamping area) is quite basic and it does take a day to get used the to the shared toilet and washing facilities but they are close and were always clean. The campsite did have the most lovely bar that opened each evening next to a lake which also featured live music on the weekend and a high quality food van.
The chateau has definite wow factor! The staff are very friendly and the accommodation clean and functional with a lot of character. The food was out of this world.
My only criticism is the road can be a little noisy.
