Very handy location as wanted somewhere to stay after...
Very handy location as wanted somewhere to stay after crossing through the euro tunnel very late at night. Fitted the bill perfectly as a place to stopover before heading further into Europe after a good sleep. Very comfy bed. Bathroom a bit basic and plastic but overall a very good hotel for the price.

We have previously visited just to go through the Tunnel.
We have previously visited just to go through the Tunnel. Time on our hands this time, meant that we could visit some of the beaches. Those at Sangatte were truly lovely and well worth spending a day or more at. Coquelles itself has a good supermarket, restaurants etc, so worth breaking the journey there and preparing either for an excursion further into France, or the trip back home. And if you have time, Cap Gris-Nez is also lovely!

The hotel and ones next to it has a large police presence and many police vehicles in the car park making it feel very safe and secure. The location in a retail park on the outskirts of Calais is not pretty but it is very convenient - secure floodlit and fenced parking and the Poivre Rouge restaurant across the road serves reasonably good food and is relatively cheap. Ideal at the end of a long day's driving! They take pets too and you can give your dog a lovely walk on nearby Bleriot Plage.
