Easy to find, a small hotel of approximately 30 rooms, had everything it had advertised. we arrived on a Sunday evening but were directed by the very helpful staff to a nearby square where we found a bar serving dinner and to my husband’s delight showing a football match. Great downtime for him after a 6 hour drive. To cap it all the square was the location of Palencia Cathedral which we had time to visit before we left. Fascinating place and very beautiful.
Close to Palencia's main street, Hotel Palacio Congresos is near the centre of Palencia, less than 8 minutes' walk from the city's train and bus stations.

Room very clean,bed comfortable.
Evening meal was dreadful. Asked for two burgers, both to be well done, this was done using translation on my phone as the waitress didn't speak English. She read and acknowledged the translation. Unfortunately the chef sent out two undercooked burgers. The chips were equally undercooked in places. Definitely not impressed.
In stark contrast, Breakfast was superb. A good selection of continental dishes and a cooked selection also, with a very helpful waitress who went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect.
Reception was quietly efficient and polite, speaking very good English.

The room was clean, compact, comfortable and the location was very good! Above all the staff was extremely helpful in every way possible, wether it was regarding the hostal or the town.
INSIDEHOME Apartments - La Casita de Úrsula is located in Palencia, 50 km from Valladolid Train station, 49 km from Casa-Museo de Zorrilla, and 200 metres from Teatro Principal.
A one night stop over is not fair to judge a location.

More time spent exploring would help give a better overview. Impressions of an evening walk to get food was that Palencia is a large town comprised of a cathedral and blocks of flats - not really fair perhaps to Palencia!

As we were only there for one night it’s difficult to give a proper review but we thought it was nicely middle market, there would have been lots more to see than we could fit in but what we did see we liked

We loved the street life, the buildings, the cafes and bars and we were lucky enough to be there during the Palencia festival which added to the whole experience. People were friendly and helpful. The town is easy to navigate with lovely old buildings and the very old cathedral was especially interesting.

We walked down the main pedestrian avenue and found it run down and shabby. There were a few smart shops but a huge number of shop premises were empty and neglected and had attracted several beggars. On the way to Portugal we spent one night in Valladolid, a beautiful town and in complete contrast to Palencia. I know where we will be staying next time.
The location is perfect for the town.
Breakfast was a buffet which exceeded our expectations.
We struggled to find the hotel as the name was not outside, purely the fact that it was a hotel.
Parking was a problem - we had requested a parking space at a cost which was fine but on arrival were told that the car park was not suitable for larger cars so we had to park on the street. This in itself was not a problem except it was a fair walk as there are very limited spaces close to the hotel.
We stay here regularly, it's a convenient stopover on the way from the ferry in Northern Spain to the south/Andalucía and vice versa.
It's a modern hotel on the outskirts of town but easy to find and not far from the motorway exit.
The bedrooms are a reasonable size and are well equipped, as are the bathrooms. Comfortable beds.
Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice of items.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Rooms are very clean and good size. Receptionist was excellent. We requested a specific room based on our last visit, the hotel acknowledged this on arrival but as this room was occupied they gave us a similar quiet room on another floor which we enjoyed just as well. Parking is secure and easy to access as we have a large SUV. Easy walking distance to the main areas.
The owner of this hotel, Lourdes was amazing. She literally made us feel like family. She was extremely welcoming and genuinely friendly. She was always available when we needed help, took the time to talk with us and get to know us, and made us a lovely breakfast in the morning.
The hotel itself was nicely decorated and the rooms were clean and beautiful.
Arrived by Motorcycle.Booking in went smoothly.Parking was a little scary for us as the underground car park had steep ramps going down but we managed ok,Coming up was sorted with a little planning,It all went well.Loved the Hotel was great value and situated just off the main Highway,Very easy to find with sat nav.All very clean and bedrooms nice.
This is a very good hotel, and very good value for money. It is within easy walking distance of the Palencia train and bus stations. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They have a very nice common kitchen and dining room downstairs. And very good that the reception desk is manned the whole day.
Exceptionally clean and comfortable place - management sent us clear instructions way before our arrival and everything was great from the start. Definitively recomended to all who wish to visit Palencia. There is a public (paid) parking just below the building which is really convenient.
Excellent, many clean rooms, and a kitchen with great accessories. Great value, we only got a small hotel room for the same price and here you're getting an entire flat!
Isabel was friendly and helpful always.
Also, the place has a huge television.
The AC Hotel is easy to find from the motorway and has both exterior and interior secure parking. It is a very modern hotel located in a retail park on the outskirts of Palencia. The restaurant served a good evening meal and breakfast.
Decent enough place, but probably a bit overpriced for the accommodation. I think because they fancy themselves as a hotel for Congress attendees. A short walk to places to eat and drink. Barbers open late and open early for breakfast.
The house is perfect for a family stay. It is situated on the border of Palencia city, reachable by car in 5 min. It has a beautiful garden and an outside pool. Overall, the house is exquisite and we enjoyed our stay a lot!
The breakfast was absolutely terrible!
Obviously cooked the day before! The only thing wrong apart from the parking! Very busy town NO parking anywhere! The hotel had underground parking but my car was too low so my fault!
Nice hotel in the city center of Palencia.
Bar and restaurants near the hotel, bus stop in front of it.
The room was ok, everything was clean and the staff really helpful.
Good breakfast in the morning.
Property did not exist or was not as advertised.
Could not find it and could not get in touch with host. Had to book into a hotel with 2 dogs!! Not ideal after a 7 hour drive!!😡
The property was beautifully and exceptionally clean. The hotel was with in walking distance of the train and within walking distance of visiting family.
We liked the hotel and it's localization. I had information that gluten free diet would be in the hotel, but the waitress did not know anything about it.
