The breakfast is without any doubt one of the very best I've had: tons of delicious high quality food, fresh orange juice, local produce, and every day something different and truly appetizing. The breakfast room is lovely, and all told breakfast was a superb experience - and we were there for 4 days, so we truly tested!
The location is a bit strange and most especially difficult to find at night, make sure to use some kind of navigator. It's not really a place to go for walks in. But on the other hand it's conveniently close to many nice places.

Lovely rooms and access to a kitchen lounge and garden which we're also very nice.

The roof terrace was amazing, a perfect place to end my Camino. The personnel was nothing short of amazing, helped with every question, ensured an easy check in and made my stay a great experience. Breakfast was wonderful as well! Will for sure come again!

A really bad choice to go there .. should have stayed the 2 extra nights in magnificent FINISTERE.. a bigger , friendlier , way cooler town than poor old Muxia .. very little was open .. Albergue had BED BUGS !
That totally ruined my wonderful Camino experience .
I’ve stayed in dozens of Albergues on my 3 Caminos across France and Spain .. this was the only one with BED BUGS !! Terrible.. I should have gone to the police or council to report them for unhygienic standards .. just disgusting

I always come with happiness to Muxia.
I always come with happiness to Muxia. I choose all the time Bella Muxia for the reason of the welcoming hospitalieros and also the Special Albergue and Hostel facilities that I could find from 2017, when I came first time. This is my second time in 2023 staying , both in common albergue and one guest room too in my holiday.
Everything was perfect in both cases.
I recomend Bella Muxia.

We walked from Lires to Muxia which was approximately 16kms. Lires to Muxia is an easier walk than Muxia to Lires. The last 5kms into Muxia is downhill with about 2kms on bitumen.
The walk to the Sanctuary was worth it passing by the disused Condor Eel drying site. The Artisan Lacemakers have a hut on the top working on lace while you watch. Lace is for sale from this shed. Didn’t see any other outlet in the town itself.
Views from the top are spectacular and worth the walk.

Muxia is a lovely place with a really special atmosphere, to my mind it’s a better place to stay and for finishing a Camino than Finisterre. There’s not a great deal to do, exploring the whole town takes about an hour. There are some very pretty old buildings and the landscape and sea by the lighthouse are spectacular. There are plenty of bars and restaurants offering very fresh seafood at reasonable prices, if you fancy a swim the beach is safe, clean and pleasant. Bus links are good. I’ve been three times and like it more each time, it is a nice place just to be.

Muxia is a beautiful little coastal port/village, it is the final finishing point for the Camino so there are is no shortage of people arriving and leaving. It is also popular at the weekends and fiestas with locals who travel from all over to have lunch. So if you are thinking of eating at Lonxa d Alvaro (which is excellent) make sure you book as a table there is very sought after. There are lots of other amazing options for dinning and its easy to spend the days just eating.

Muxia is a wild and rocky coastal town with two light houses visible. and a beautiful church site 1/2 mile from town. We wandered there every evening, it’s especially beautiful at sunset. We walked to a few Sandy beaches, but because of 25 mile an hour wind gusts the entire time of our stay, we did not enjoy the beaches as we had hoped. We found all of the towns people very warm, welcoming and accommodating, and seafood was the very best we’ve had while in Spain!
I entered the hotel in the cold and hungry state due to the storm, but even though it wasn't mealtime, being able to have warm soup made us incredibly grateful. In the bedroom with a fireplace, warming the room with firewood and listening to the crackling sound, we spent such a comfortable and warm night. The view of the forest was beautiful, and the breakfast was generous. Without the cheerful and warm hospitality of the host, Carmen, we would have had a very difficult evening. We are truly filled with gratitude. Thank you Carmen!
Absolutely the best views in Muxia! From the bed, the kitchen table, the couch...all amazing water views. Immaculately clean and insanely comfortable. I didn't want to leave, ever! Kitchen has all the equipment you might need, and the hosts leave you lots of breakfast goodies. Bed linens and towels were terririfc. Shower was great. Only a 10 minute walk into the main part of town. I walked into town multiple times each day. Can't say enough about this apartment. It was absolutely heaven for me, and I hope to return someday.
This studio is the best! Everything is fantastic, the room, the location and hospitality, super comfortable stay, with washing machine in room, coffee, milk, tea, great shower 🚿. The host was very courteous, very kind. My husband's leg prevented him from hiking from Finisterre, he had arrived early by bus, even though the apartment's check in policy was 4pm, but the host let him in early. Thank you so much for everything! You've made us enjoying our stay in Muxia very much.
We booked last minute in the evening and the host was super friendly and welcoming and let us in immediately, also let us leave our bags the next day or even stay over time if we wished as no one was booked in.
Great price for what you get.
Nice, fresh and comfortable bedding and towels.
It has a bath which is always nice even if we didn't have time to use it!
Perfect location between the Rocks at Muxía and the town.
I’ve been traveling through Portugal and Spain for a month and I’m still surprised that folks don’t typically have/use window screens to keep bugs out… this host had a screen for the door to the balcony, so I thought that was a nice touch.
It was bright and modern (and not cluttered), and comfortable at the same time.
The location is a beautiful, quiet, rural area… with a lovely vantage point for sunsets!
The location is central, close to bus and tourist activities. The hotel is a very charming old building, we loved it. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and it was fabulous! The staff are lovely people! They are super kind and endearing! We have a delightful breakfast this morning and that too was outstanding! So glad we stayed here. Truly a highlight of our trip.
This property is everything you'd want for a visit to Muxia. The hosts were so nice, warm, welcoming, and helpful. We were offered a pilgrim's meal in the kitchen for free, we were able to get our walking certificate there at the hotel, and it was so clean and comfortable and an easy walk to church on the rocks to watch the sunset. It was perfect for us.
Central location in Muxia. Information sent prior to check in by Aure was very informative and helpful. You were able to get a Muxiana certificate printed at the alburgue. The bathrooms were very spacious and I was impressed that it was fully adaptive for disabled pilgrims. Laundry drying facilities on the roof and there was a lift! Proper towels!
The house is gorgeous, newly and beautifully decorated . Comfortable beds and super clean. Quiet location 10 min from Muxia. Mari, the host, is very helpful and friendly. Nice terrace and garden to watch sunset over the eucaliptus forest. Two communicated double rooms extremely convenient for family of 4.
Very nice recently renovated apartment, center of Muxia and possibly the comfiest bed i slept in while in Galicia. Washing machine in the kitchen which was very handy and little balcony to dry once washed.
The hosts are a lovely couple who have the butchers shop below.
Beautifully maintained historic property. All amenities were top notch, Jacuzzi, spectacular bedding, delicious welcome chocolates. Great chef. Best food I have had in hotel restaurant on the camino. They provided transportation from and back to Olveiroa!
Best location in Muxia. 1 min walk to a supermarket, just in front of bakery. Amazing view. Very clean. All necessities available. Towels blankets equipped kitchen washing machine hot shower. Very cosy place. Super easy check in. Loved it.
Comfortable, very clean, fabulous view over beach, en suite with HUGE shower. Receptionist spoke perfect English & was super helpful. Breakfast good. Restaurant wasnt open. Seemed to be still low season in Muxia. Great value.
A spacious, well equipped albergue in Muxia, with a multi-storey terrace on top for some stunning views around the town. The tourist office to receive the Muxiana is a few meters away, close to many restaurants and the beach.
