The location is great, not even 10 mins walk to the Las Canteras beach and many restaurants are also close. The staff is extremely friendly, reception is 24hrs open. The rooftop bar was not open yet in April but we were allowed to go up and take our own drinks. The weather was amazing. The bus stop is just in front of the hotel. The breakfast is great, lots of options to choose from, I really recommend this accommodation.

The Gran Canaria capital, Las Palmas offers everything that the Canaries stand for: year-round sun, fantastic beaches and great nightlife. However, the largest city of this volcanic island group is more than just a beach resort - its mix of traditional and modern makes it stand out from the crowd.
Colourful Colonial façades line Calle Triana, a top shopping street, while the out-of-town Las Arenas shopping complex is much more contemporary in design. The El Muelle shopping centre is near Parque Santa Catalina and the surrounding restaurants, bars and clubs are focal points of Las Palmas nightlife, together with the historic Vegueta district.
Vegueta is also home to Santa Ana cathedral, best viewed from the palm-lined square which houses the Canary Island Museum. Around the corner is the Casa Museo de Colón, where Columbus stayed en route to America. No doubt he sailed from huge Puerto de la Luz whose numerous vessels are guarded by a lighthouse and stone castle.
On the opposite side of the promontory is long Las Canteras beach, lined by a promenade providing great mountain views in both directions. The 5-star hotels by the beach are just some of Booking.com’s Las Palmas accommodation options, alongside cheap guest houses and apartments, all linked by coastal road to Gran Canaria Airport.

The island will definitely appeal to alot of people from all...
The island will definitely appeal to alot of people from all walks - Interestingly the south caters for more touristic attractions and opportunities whilst the centre and north are more historic. The island is accessible via public transport from St. Telmo (bus station) - You'll need to work out the way the busses work (Blue for inter-town, Orange for inside towns) and download the GuaGua app (There's two of them!) - Google Maps helps alot in navigating whilst Apple-Maps is a little sparse on information.
Dont go the route to hire a car - Its not needed and buses are frequent and easily accommodating.
Restaurants are a pick'n'mix re success - Some are great (look for the locals seems a big deal)

Great to walk all over the city.
Great to walk all over the city. The old town and so many beautiful beaches where there are no tourists. They are all on one beach. Positive attitude from everyone I met. Nice to rent a bicycle and travel on excellent bicycle routes throughout the city. Lots of good restaurants. I was there for a month, it felt way too short.

What an island!
What an island! It has an amazing beach - Las Canteras - and amazing places to visit, eat and relax. It is best to rent a car, but you can also use the public buses, which work really well. The taxis are also affordable and reliable. People are friendly, but not overly invasive of your personal space.

Las Palmas is not a particularly pretty town/city; however...
Las Palmas is not a particularly pretty town/city; however the old town of Vegueta is only about 15 minutes on the bus and has both the historic old town with narrow streets, plus the modern shopping street with most of the highstreet shops, and plenty of restaurants and bars.
Las Palmas has many bars and restaurants, as well as the main shopping street Mesa y Lopez, with El Corte Ingles and many more highstreet shops.
There are a couple of indoor shopping centres - one near the Auditorium and one near the port. The Auditorium itself is an interesting building and worth a visit. It looked to have a good programme of concerts too.
There are lots of restaurants and bars on the Canteras promenade but there are also some good ones a block or so back. Lacan (plaza Faray) for pizzas is brilliant but you do have to book, especially at the weekend, and Toma Pan y Moja, which is a small bar on the Canteras promenade is very small and friendly and has some beautiful food and wine. The prawns and the Saharan Calamari are to die for! The bar Ginger further along the promenade serves the best mojitos and La Maravilla a on the next corner does a very good plate of mixed fried fish.

Las Palmas is the biggest city with beaches in canary island...
Las Palmas is the biggest city with beaches in canary island and I found it incredible in terms of culture and mentality. The feeling is like traveling in South America, people are easy fun and open minded. I was there for the carnival closure day and it was amazing. Definitely the best carnival I have ever been, and I have been in quite a few.

The location is amazing, close to 2 beaches in Las Palmas, 24h shop, mcdonald, the entire city is in the walking distance. The host was very accomodating, helping me with tips for how to move around the city and pointing to nice attractions.
In the apartment there was everything I could ever need, along with extra sun lotion, washing detergent and even food and beverages. You can be sure that if you leave something in the apartment, the next guests will be able to use it. The host puts the happiness of guests on top of his priority list.
We spent 8 nights at the Hotel Catalina Plaza Sostenibile in Las Palmas De Gran Canaria. The Hotel facilities are excellent; the structure is new and well maintained; the position, in the proximity of the main bus stations and the Playa De Las Canteras, makes easy to reach any point within the city and to move to other location in the island. Overall we had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. A special and huge thanks to Miss Stephanie whose “problem solving” capability helped us a lot during our holiday.
The location of this property is excellent. It's on a quiet street with restaurants, shops, and supermarkets all within walking distance and not to forget coffee shops. Another item that I like is the main transport hub of Las Palmas, (Estación de Guaguas de San Telmo.) is also within walking distance, just 8 minutes away. From here you explore other parts of the island. That is why I've stayed a number of times at this property. Ilma the host always has a welcoming fruit bowl for me.
We tried several hotels in Gran Canaria and this one was by far the best one - very nice interior, modern and fresh, the personell was professional, the room was comfortable and quite, and the location is excellent as it is a walkable distance to bus stops and in the old town. In addition, the rooftop pool is wonderful and heated.
If staying in Las Palmas, I would gighly recomend staying here for a few nights.
A perfect place located in a quiet, leafy area of Las Palmas but within walking distance of almost everything. Our room was spacious, light and airy with a really comfortable bed and very clean. Wonderful breakfasts by the pool with an excellant variety of options. Gladys and the staff are really friendly and helpful, with every effort made to ensure a happy holiday. A great find and a great stay!
My experience with the hotel was absolutely amazing! The room was very spacious, very clean and gorgeous, not to mention the stunning view to the harbor. The location of the hotel is perfect, the beach is 5 minutes away and the bus station 2 minutes away. The staff was amazing and very helpful!
My experience was 10/10 and I would choose the same hotel for my next trip to Las Palmas!
Only 2 steps from the beach and the promenade, very clean and comfortable rooms and beds, great breakfast and very very kind staff.
If you want to be in the neighbourhood of locals, it's a great choice to enjoy Las Palmas.
Plus the bar on the eight floor with its view, is great for afternoon and night chill.
Definitely will choose it again for my next stay
It's a very calm place. You will find all the amenities you need. Very close to the beach, supermarkets, and restaurants. The bed is super comfortable, and the common areas are great, especially for work. Cinthya is charmful and she will help you with whatever you need. On my next trip to Gran Canaria, I will stay here again for sure.
It was very well located for the beach, restaurants, shopping and the bus station. We had a well appointed room where we could cook meals and sit out on our balcony. Since we were travelling around Gran Canaria for a few weeks it was very helpful to have laundry facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
It's really cheap to stay at this hotel and the location is fantastic. If you want to visit gran canaria on a budget and don't want to stay in the south where people go to lounge on sun beds it's a great option. It's also across the street from a fantastic Mexican place.
Loved this hotel right on the plaza! Beautiful old building with modern updates. The breakfast was fantastic! Best hotel breakfast I've ever had! Staff was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants. Found one of them and it was delicious! Near the museum.
The community feeling in the hostel! Everyone was so friendly, it was very pleasant stay.
Location is superb, you could even scout the waves if they are your level while eating breakfast.
I'll probably gonna come here next time I'm in Gran Canaria!
After been on vacation in Gran Canaria i added some days "remote working". It was a great decision to choose this hotel. the rooms have nice views to the Port.
Or youcan work from the rooftop terrace if it is not too hot. The Breakfast was great
Great location in Las Palmas city centre, close to shops, restaurants, concert hall, beautiful beach, and buses to the rest of the island. Clean soundproof apartment in brand new high-rise building. Superb view. Wonderful host.
Not only is „aminta home“ meticulously decorated, it’s personnel is also very attentive and caring. They offer you tips on how to get to the good spots of Gran Canaria and how to make your vacation more enjoyable.
It was a great place to stay where I met lovely people! The location and view from the rooftop is amazing! There is also a cute cat. Thank you for making my stay in Gran Canaria a really nice experience :)
We loved everything! The best apartment we have been in Spain and Gran Canaria! No street noise, so much space! Very close to the beach and supermarket!
