Welcoming host. Spacious property (outdoor patio, indoor lounge, large dining area), room was spacious with comfortable bed. Great night sleep as it was quiet through the night (could hear people talking in hall before they went to bed but this wasn't a problem) and it had solid wooden exterior window shutters to black out the light. TV had programmes in English, Spanish and French. Kitchen had large fridge, gas hobs, toaster, microwave. Host also offered dinner for €18 and breakfast €7. (Check host directly for price and availability). I didn't get either (as I had food with me) but nice that it was on offer (also can buy drinks on site). Room, kitchen and dining areas all very clean. Used the correos to drop off and collect luggage without problem. Good location & very comfortable if walking Camino del Norte (instead of in Deba). From the camino- You don't have to go down to the town of Deba first. When you pass the town of Itziar, soon after the cemetery... there will be a road to the left, not the first but the second (I think) there is a sign that says Arriola Txiki. Take that detour and after about 1km (20min walk) you will be at the house. The next day you can take a different direct path from the house down to Deba to rejoin the camino near the Deba train station. When you take that be careful of stinging nettle plant where the track narrows if you are wearing shorts (the track is mostly very wide though). That direct path to Deba from the house takes about 16min walk down and 21min back up (relatively steep hill. Note where the track comes out in town if you are intending to return the same way later in the afternoon/evening). Not much to do/see in Deba (a few supermarkets, a few places to eat, the beach isnt as impressive as Zarautz or San Sebastian) so you may chose to not walk down and back, instead just walk down in the morning when you continue your camino and see Deba then.

The location is excellent. It is right along that Camino del Norte.
The view from the hotel room is fantastic, and there is a deck and large windows to enjoy it from.

The Basque Coast is breathtaking. This inn was in a perfect location to explore the villages along the coast. We hiked a section of the Flysch Route which was a “must do”.
The owner of the inn was so nice and sweet. Such hospitality!
I felt like I knew her for many years...so comfortable to stay at her place. She serves a lovely breakfast and is very helpful with directions for tourist destinations and restaurants in the area. You cannot go wrong with this booking.
