Food was actually much better than you could expect from motorway services. Staff spoke English so there were no issues with communication. This was our second time and , like previously, it didn't disappoint. There is a cheeky shortcut behind the hotel towards nearby city (Hamm) not requiring you to return to motorway, where you can refuel significantly cheaper than on a motorway (about 5 minutes by car to Shell petrol station).
