I like walking around the city on both sides of the bridge.
I like walking around the city on both sides of the bridge. It is funny how the stores do not really follow an opening/closure schedule so if you might like doing some shopping you should forget about the beach day and walk around the nice stores. There is a nice and new art gallery called Bagira Artist and Gallery, the artist is an open heart person and her job is superb! She allowed me to visit the installations during a time that everything was closed.

For the price that was charged I expected way more.
For the price that was charged I expected way more. For instance they don't have any parking on site. Very often the closest on-street parking I could find was a long walk away and this was very frustrating. The room we stayed in was shown as ocean view but it was kind of a side view. Again, this would have been fine for much lower cost but at about USD 350 a night I expected at least parking at the facility (even if it meant paying some more). Also charging for Coffee pods was silly, keep in mind I was paying USD 1350 for the stay and they wanted to add 5 more bucks for the coffee pods!
Outside of the above, rest was fine. One of the staff was very helpful. Place was very clean and the the full property was well maintained. The main tourist area is about a 15 minute walk so the location is not bad.

Willemstad, capital of Curaçao, enchants with colorful Dutch colonial style architecture, as in Punda and Otrobanda. Its crystal clear beaches offer spectacular diving. The floating Queen Emma Bridge and the Floating Market are attractions to be seen.

I have been to Curacao twice, and still have not been to Mambo Beach. Otherwise the downtown area is a must for a visit. The point in bridge at night lights up, you have the Curacao sign, the Dushi sign and the iguana. All around just a beautuful island with beautiful people.

Willemstad is an authentic and colorful Caribbean city with a very interesting Dutch colonial architecture in both sides of the city. To my surprise, I found that Otrobanda (where we've stayed) has been beautifully renovated with some parts full of cultural buildings, museums, small colorful streets and excellent street-art displays. The highlight is the magnificent view of the harbour and the bridge that rotates full of lights, it's an spectacle!
There isn't a frequent or reliable public transportation, almost none in the city. I found it very disappointing to be obligated to rent a car or take Taxis to get around.

I was there for work so I really had no time to enjoy much of Curaçao and Willemstad. But the city felt nice and safe. It has a beautiful architecture that really reflects its UNESCO world heritage status. I enjoyed the visit to the acquarium on Mambo beach, the bar at the windsurf school at Spaanse Water and the maritime history museum downtown. Still a lot of things to see and I didn't even make it to the beach!
This place is truly bizarre.
On the paper it is perfect and with the facilities they it should be one of the hot spots in curacao.
However you get a weird vibe staying there, lights in common areas are really dark and for a hostel you see no one and there is a weird vibe. How could it be with so many jakuzzis and beach areas available and even a bar?
It feels like they have seen better days and management needs to redo a few minor things and they can be a having easy reviews up to 9-10 at booking.com. Local staff was very friendly.
My friend Jazz and I stayed at this cozy loft in Curacao basically a few minutes walk to the heart of Punda in Willemstad. It was a compact all in one room that was very neat and clean and quite comfortable. The street had a lot of nightlife activity. So perfect for first time visitors .
The price point was also excellent for being so close to the city centre.
The owners and their staff especially Vaibi were quite helpful.
Definitely recommend this little oasis for a quick getaway!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Xanadu! The two bedroom apartment was impeccibly clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Ravi, the owner, was so kind and accommidating and made us feel right at home and provided us with invaluable recommendations. He also welcomed us to his bar and provided drinks on the house. I can't say enough about this place. We will 100% be staying here again when we return to Curacao!
Everything perfect! If you want a beautiful space after long beach days, clean, comfortable and cozy, this is the place! Ralf and his family have this perfect space and hidden gem in a very gut location near to the best spots in Curaçao. Bathroom and shower amazing! Bed and Kitchen ideal…. After long days at the beach, we loved our paradise “home” We totally recommend it and would definitely come again!!!
Lovely apartment in a great location in Curacao. Easy self check-in. We had the apartment with the view on the street. For us is ok, cause we were always outside. It is a quiet area. The apartment has everything and fully equipped kitchen. Pietermaai is kind of a new fast developing area with many restaurants, bars and various establishments within walking distance to the center of Curaçao.
Avila Beach Hotel, you will always be the best memory in the Caribbean for us. I can’t thank you enough for making my special proposal go so smooth. The room was breathtaking and clean, the food was delicious, the staff was super friendly and helpful and transportation around the town was easy to get. All in all it was a 10 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend
Great location to discover Curacao, city center of Willemstad can be reached by feet (15 min). Nice small hotel in colonial style with closed parking and swimming pool, which can also be used in the evening. Large and authentically furnished family room, perfectly for families with kids. Friendly and helpful staff. Several good restaurants within 2 min walk.
Incredible atmosphere and service, Brand new accomodation with all the itens that you need to have a Nice stay em Curaçao. Good cleaning and location as well, just five minutes away from the beach. Staff (Javi, Sanchez..) was really cool and helpful, creating a trust atmosphere with their customers
We had a wonderful time on Curacao. The host was so wonderful! Whenever we had a question she was there for us directly. She helped us with everything. The house was big enough for our big family and we needed very short time to arrive different beaches an the main city of Curacao.
Its very poorly explained how to get to the hotel and rven how yo check in. We arrived at 940pm to a closed gate. We never got to check in and stay and went on to book somewhere else. We tried to call and no answer. So all in all not a good experience.
A perfect place as a base for exploring Curaçao. Very quiet, centrally located, super helpful staff, lots of amenities and above all, low-cost (especially for longer term stays). They als have handy low-cost cars for rent.
location was perfect- out the hotel and into all of the exciting spots and restuarants, pharmacy and food stores. 2 minute walk from the pontoon bridge, Curacao sign etc.
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable and quiet room. No breakfast, but there are good places for breakfast around the hotel. The 24-hours reception is helpful.
The hotel & staff we very friendly. This property is one of the best places to stay in Curaçao. Friday nights are a blast! They have everything you need in one spot!
