Riverside cultural district was a bit dissapointing, nice enough but nothing to do apart from walk through it, we did some of it but better off walking up the top along Quay Street to take in the lovely old buildings. Mt Archer skywalk was awesome, such a lovely view back over Rockhampton from up there. We also did the Capricorn Caves, it's a must see when in the area that's for sure! Yeppoon and the Keppel Coast was beautiful but we needed more time spent over there..next visit hey!

Our trip was a two and half day to Cairns which then didn't leave us any touring time.
When it came to food my only advice, stay away from servo's not an option we will recommend.
When searching good food/diners in Rockhampton remember to do your research because we ended buying local take-away and eating back in our motel room, VERY SAD & NOT SATISFYING.
I think this is probably the newest most modern self contained accommodation in Rockhampton based upon many other places I have stayed for work. It is very clean and spacious and I was fortunate to get an upgrade from the very nice manager. The accommodation was perfect for my work needs. it was very quiet and private. I was hoping I might see some kangaroos outside of my backdoor which we saw last time we stayed in a different room but not this time. Maybe next time.
We enjoy staying with our friends at Coffee House Apartments, pet friendly without any hidden pet fee's. Always a nice space, big TV and comfy couch. Fully self contained which is great for our needs traveling with our pets. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. We've stayed here many times on our holidays going through Rockhampton. And we'll probably be back again soon on our next holiday. Very happy the restaurant is open again since the COVID chaos. Thank you.
CBD Apartments are a small block of apartments on a relatively busy street in Rockhampton. Our one-bedroom apartment had been refurbished with Miele appliances, a washing machine/drier and reasonably comfortable bed and furniture. The overall decor and lighting is a little dated, though quite adequate, and clean. It was fine for us for a night, and the extra space would be handy for people working from the unit on business trips.
The location is just as you are heading out of Rockhampton heading north on the right (an easy turnaround at the roundabout and back to the hotel).
We have stayed in a room and one of the 2-bedroom apartments. The apartments are spacious and great value. The staff are very friendly and the in-house restaurant is very convenient with lots of great food options. Would def stay here again.
we have travelled from cairns to Brisbane and this is by far our favourite stop. beds comfortable- had the best sleep, clean spacious and airy apartments. owners went over and above when I left belongings - they posted to next hotel which was so kind and saved a lot of drama for us. 100% we will stay again when in the area and recommend to anyone
The apartment was perfect. I needed to work, so the office desk area and wifi were excellent. The kitchen was very good and we were able to be fully self contained as required. The cafe was closed over the Xmas days we were there, but Coles was very close by and plenty of choice to eat elsewhere. Thank you.
Such a beautiful place to stay with beautiful furniture. A prime position, across from the Great Western Hotel and within walking distance into the CBD.
The lady at reception was extremely nice and apologetic when I told her about and showed her the short video I had taken to show her the shower head issue.
Pet friendly accommodation, I have stayed there on four previous occasions and am always met with the same high standard of accommodation and attentiveness from the staff. Highly recommend Park Avenue for all travellers going through Rockhampton..
The location was great and an easy walk to eateries, shopping centre and Quay Street. Easy to go to Rockhampton attractions from hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Views of the river was so nice day and night.
The self contained villa was new and presented very clean and tidy. Great location just off the highway, and far enough off the road to dampen out the sound of the traffic. Would happily stay here again.
I think this motel has the best value for money in Rockhampton. It's cheap, clean, tidy and on the main road through town making it a good position for those passing through.
Old heritage buildings that are neat and tidy. Safe parking near the hotel. Strategic location. Good view to the river. The room's price that i've booked is value for money
