Be prepared for a unique experience…the shower had ornate ceiling with plants growing inside and up above. Breakfast was served “family style” and the owner/chef engaged with his guests. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Surrounded by lush forest!

I went with my husband and 3 children and the kids had so much fun exploring the property, using the swings and trampoline and running around. Kees was super accommodating, making sure that we had everything we needed! I highly recommend this spot!

Nepenthe B&B is located 4 km from the Arenal Volcano National Park and 3 km from the Arenal Lake. It features a hot tub, sun terrace with swimming pool, spa treatments and free breakfast. Excellent. The food, and specially the pizza is a must! Also the views were astonishing and the staff was great. We had a massage and it was one of the best we ever had. Fabian is a great therapist. The facilities were very clean and comfortable.

Mary was so friendly and helpful. She went out of her way providing us with helpful information, logistical support and transportation. She checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, which we did. The home was in a beautiful area walking distance from Lake Arenal Park and recreation area and very close to restaurants and shops. Perfect weather...no need for a heater or air conditioner.
