The thoughtfulness and reasonable distance of the staff. They contacted me before my stay with information on how to check in and were attentive to any questions I had during my stay. They helped us booking activities. Basically, communication was via app messages, which made us feel that they cared about our privacy. Recommendations for places to visit and restaurants were excellent.

The property is a single villa (only one on the property) so you have plenty of privacy. It is beautifully setup with a lovely authentic Bali style. I couldn't believe how much room there was (even with 5 of us) and the facilities are magnificent - fantastic outdoor relaxation areas, spa bath, outdoor BBQ/cooking and eating area. Inside was great too with lots of areas to relax, a second kitchen, two TVs (one with Netflix), wireless speakers. Grant has provided everything you could need including board games, crockery, laundry, toiletries, and various kitchen needs. The villa was clean and comfortable and a perfect place to spend time in and relax when not at the nearby attractions. Easy walk to beach, Shoal Bay, and eating/coffee. Short drive to Nelson Bay. As the builder of the villa, Grant was the perfect host - and meeting us and showing us the facilities on arrival and leaving some treats for us in the fridge. Thank you Grant. We will be back.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool, Salamander Bay Bed and Breakfast is just a 5-minute drive from One Mile Beach. Guests enjoy BBQ facilities, free WiFi, and free secure parking. We loved EVERYTHING about our stay. The loft had all the items we could ask for, was beautifully presented, extremely clean and quiet. The continental breakfast included in the price was delicious, the pool gorgeous, the location so central to all the must-sees in Port Stephens and our hosts Merilyn and Bruce were a treat - letting us in on all the areas secrets + teaching us a fabulous new card game. We would very happily return!
