Danny and Patty are wonderful hosts. They were very cheerful, warm and helpful, and I felt like I had family in Ushuaia. They were very helpful in giving advice on what to do in Ushuaia, and telling me about restaurants, places to go, and how to get there. I also ordered breakfast and dinner, and both were very delicious. The room and bathroom are always very clean and comfortable. It's on a hill a little away from the main street, but you can get there in about 5-10 minutes by taxi, and it's in a great location with a panoramic view of the city. I stayed for 3 nights, but I was so impressed by the wonderful home, the family, and the beautiful city that I wanted to stay longer. It's worth more than just a stay.

The hostel is a roughly 40-minute walk from the trailheads for a couple highly recommended day hikes as well. While the location is outside of the tourist center, you can catch the colectivos for free into town or take an Uber for around 2.000 pesos. Overall, it was a warm and familial environment with guests from many countries alongside Argentineans where you can comfortably cook yourself a nice meal and share a drink with other guests. The Wi-Fi is strong. The apartment feels very secure. The hosts are hospitable.

Featuring panoramic lake and sunset views, Hosteria Kaiken is a charming historic house built in 1964 in inner Tierra del Fuego. There is a restaurant. Fagnano Lake is 150 metres away. The hotel is set on a beautiful setting. The hotel is dated but clean. The room was dated but nice. It would have been nice to have seating on the balcony. The included breakfast was good. The restaurant offered good food but it lacked ambiance.

Comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi are offered only 7 blocks from Ushuaia’s main street. Very kind hosts. Great advice on nearby hikes and attractions.
