The house is as historical (built around 1880) as Oamaru`s Victorian Precinct. It has been restored with detail so it is possible to feel the touch of 19th century. The hostess is the most welcoming and friendly person offering You glass of port from antique tableware when checking in. Bedroom is both authentic and romantic, with a bouquet of fresh flowers. The delicious breakfast was served with a bouquet of lavender. Lobby is for use of all quests with glance on the ocean. House is located on top of hill adding few more steps to reach historical center but that just adds to the experience of historical setting when people walked down and up the hill all the time. Would recommend to anyone for historical and authentical experience and also the most friendly hostess.

It was wonderful having a LR to relax in and then go upstairs to bed. Dawn was amazing and made us muffins, pancakes and a yummy fruit mixture to top our pancakes. It is a very homey place and yard has all kinds of beautiful flowers.

The host Jacqui is very nice.The house is very clean and tidy.Before I arrived,Jacqui has sent a message for me and got ready for my arriving. The living room is very warm and sweet,Jacqui has made cookies for us.And Jacqui intruduced the town in details,she also made a map by hand to tell me scenic spot around Oamaru.It's an unforgettable experience.Thanks for Jacqui.

The property had a great deal of character with views to the coast. The owner was friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The host was super nice. He showed us around the house and even showed us the best view rooms. Top floor middle rooms the best room. Breakfast was included. The bed was really comfy. It's really close to everything that you can walk there. Parking is available on site. Activities: I recommend the steam punk and a look around the park and sea side. I do not recommend the penguin viewing in Oamaru. Better to go to the one in Dunedin.
