Al llegar alguien me esperaba en el aeropuerto (servicio gratuito) para acompañarme al hostel. Esto siempre se agradece. El dueño, Arnold, que es viajero también, es un pozo sin fondo de información, que te facilita las cosas desde el primer momento. El hostel que es sencillo pero coqueto, está dentro del casco viejo. Llegar cada día y cada noche hasta allí es un placer viajero. El área es muy segura. Tiene un roof top muy aprovechable.

Seems like they contribute to the Lamu community in a big way, they are well known and loved with everyone I spoke to. Hotel staff will help you organize any outing you‘d like, I can recommend Dhow trips, but they also help with other activities (plus reasonable pricing recommendations). Eco friendly facilities and the breakfast is amazing with ingredients sourced almost exclusively from their own Lamu farm.

El Umma House cuenta con terraza y está situado en Lamu, a solo 300 metros del Museo de Lamu y a 500 metros del fuerte de Lamu. The house is a beautiful gem within old lamu town. The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

Ofrece pileta privada y conexión wifi gratis. amazing Swahili house over 3 floors. comfortable for 5/6 people in 3 rooms with more beds in open areas. absolutely stunning place could have spent longer there. we organised for the chef to buy some groceries and cook us breakfast which worked really well.

Location fantastic and conveniently close to the airport. Dinner next door at Lamu House was exceptional. Nice alternative to the more expensive Shella.

Wildebeeste was one of the best stays we had during our journey. We’ve enjoyed it so much that it was very hard for us to leave again. Joshua is a very friendly host who helps you out with everything you need. The room is very spacious, clean and has everything you need, including a fan and mosquito net. It’s in an old Swahili-house where you can literally feel the long history of Lamu, it’s houses and it’s residents. You can use a well equipped kitchen and the (sea) view from the roof terrace is just stunning. Siwa, the oldest tourism guide in town, showed us around and we could profit from his experience and contacts all around town. If we ever have the opportunity, we will definitely come back.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is always available and welcoming. We have access to a wide range of activities and the hotel is well located, in the center of Shilla and a few minutes by walk from the beach.

El Swahili Dreams Apartments se encuentra en Lamu, a 400 metros de la galería Baraka y a 600 metros de la mezquita de Riad. Hay wifi gratis en todas las instalaciones. The design in this property is amazing, beautiful. The indoor pool is exquisite. The staff was excellent and the apartments large and comfortable.
